bring this fantasy to life ✨ 🐣 ✨ . Thank you, Jenica Anderson, Dan Bustillo, EJHill, Rachael Larkin, John Lee, Jessica Li, Lauren Martinez, Brandon Rhoads, and Kristof Trakal 👊 💥 🚀 ✨ ! And a very very special, enormous thank you toKang Seung Lee and Geoffrey Wall for their generous support in producing thisproject 🤗 ❣

Also opening this same night, initiating a year-long series of exhibitionprograms entitled 3Rs: Reflection, Rejuvenation, Revolution, are laub: the actof dying upon one’s self and other remnants of a rebirth in the Armory’sMezzanine Gallery West and Diane Christensen and Jeanne Dunning: BirthDeath Breath in the Armory’s Caldwell Gallery.

🔻 Continue reading below for more details on A Breach in the Realm of Beliefsand some related programs🔻 :

After examining vectors of oppression down to the quantum scale, JenniferMoon returns from her adventures of mapping shame and trauma within formsof identification to present a new musical video installation ignited by arejuvenated commitment to fantasy and magic. Inspired by two iconic songs—”How Far I’ll Go” and “I Am Moana (Song of the Ancestors)”—from the 3D-animated musical film, Moana, and continuing Moon’s narrative of flightproposed in her egg sculpture, Proposal for My Last Performance on Earth,Prospective Date: 2053 (2014), A Breach in the Realm of Beliefs offers asincere attempt to retrieve lost faith by re-orientating and repurposing Disney’scommodification of feel-good inspirational music to instill an emotional call torevolution that cannot be silenced. Bracketed between these two musicalvideos is a third video element that will be released in parts, evolving andexpanding throughout the exhibition, chronicling the artist’s efforts in “realtime” to implement her revolutionary goals in life and love.

Jennifer Moon: A Breach in the Realm of Beliefs has been organized by IreneTsatsos, Director of Exhibition Programs/Chief Curator, and has been producedwith generous support from Kang Seung Lee and Geoffrey Wall.

Related ProgramsJennifer Moon has facilitated a number of workshops and groups on themes ofpersonal and political change and growth, including a Black Hole Workshop,Boot Camp for Revolutionaries, and an ongoing biweekly process group. Inconjunction with this exhibition, the artist will lead a series of workshops on theimplementation of Revolution-based activities. Three workshops, free and opento the public, will take place from 1-4pm at the Armory on the followingSaturdays: March 3, April 28, and June 2.

✨✨Mr. Snuggles FOREVER✨✨Armory Center for the Arts, February 18—June 10

I'm equally excited to share this collaborative installation with laub opening thesame night ✨ 0 🐶 1 ✨ ! In addition to my exhibition in the Armory’sMezzanine Gallery East and laub's exhibition in Armory's Mezzanine GalleryWest, laub and I have joined forces one more time to create a magic-infusedinstallation in the stairwell of the Armory celebrating the life, death, andafterlife of Mr. Snuggles. This transcendent staircase installation, consisting ofpictorial tapestries lining the two walls of the stairwell and the articulatedskeletal structure of Mr. Snuggles flying above with mouth-blown glass wings, sets a tone of heartfelt reflection, awe, and inspiration leading visitors up toexperience our individual exhibitions in the Mezzanine Galleries.

Thank you, David Bell, Joel Freeman, and iris yirei hu, for putting Mr. Snugglesback together again ✨ 💀 ✨ ! And a super massive, exuburant thank you toChristopher Yin and John Yoon for their generous support in producing thisproject 😘 💕 ❣

✨ Mr. Snuggles FOREVER✨ has been organized by Irene Tsatsos, Director ofExhibition Programs/Chief Curator, and has been produced with the generoussupport of Christopher Yin and John Yoon.

Design the MooniformOMEGA Workshop: An Experiment in Counter-Fashion, January 26—March 10, 2018

‼ Update on the Design the Mooniform challenge for OMEGA Workshop, organized by The Rational Dress Society at EFA Project Space in New York‼

Carole Frances Lung (who is also part of this show as her alter ego Frau Fiber)invited me to present the Mooniform challenge to her Social Engagement forFashion Fiber and Materials class at California State University, Los Angeles. Infact, Carole made designing the Mooniform their first class assignment 😃 !There are two lab sections for this class and the students in each lab formeddesign groups to produce—from a place of abundance—theoretical proposalsfor a Mooniform. On February 12th, each design group will bring their designideas 50-70% completed, along with design team names, to the class to beworkshopped. Then on February 19th, each design group will present their finalproposals to me ⚡ 😁 ! Below are links to blogposts summarizing each lab'sinitial brainstorming of terms and ideas and the formation of design teams. Iwas super delighted to read them 😍 . Maybe you will be too!

Adventures With You: Episodes 11 &12KCHUNG, January 21st and February 18th, from 6–7pm (PST)

I was invited by Olga Koumoundouros to be part of a Sense8-style clusterconsisting of seven other artists: John Booortle, von curtis, Luke Fischbeck,Alexander Kroll, Francesca Lalanne, Kristy Lovich, and Ofelia Marquez. Togetherwe form WE, which is also an expanding exhibition at Human Resources, fromFebruary 10—March 4, consisting of a built architectural structure housingnumerous events and programs, including a soft opening and a closing (datesTBD). My contribution to this cluster has felt quite minimal so far 😐 but what Icould contribute was a lively and engaging discussion on Adventures With Youwith six members of the cluster: John Booortle, von curtis, OlgaKoumoundouros, Francesca Lalanne, Ofelia Marquez, and me 🙂 . This episodeaired live on KCHUNG on my birthday, 🎉 January 21st 🎂 , and is now archivedhere for your listening pleasure.

In this episode, we began by asking what are the differences betweencollaborative, collective, and communal; and is WE any of those things? Wetalked about how WE came together and shared why we each agreed tobecome part of WE. We processed ways in which we communicate and sharedwhat we each hope to bring to the cluster. And, of course, we talked aboutSense8 ✨ 🔛 ✨ . The WE cluster will make another appearance on
