GENERAL MANAGER MESSAGEWe take our responsibility to provide
critical information to the people of Wyoming very seriously. That’s why we’ll be extensively covering both the upcoming election and also public hearings held by Legislative Committees throughout the year.
Our first Legislative live stream will be on June 4 and 5 as we stream the public meeting of the Revenue committee.
On June 11 and 12, we will stream the meeting of the Joint Appropriations Committee. You can watch at wyomingpbs.org.
Our first election coverage is on June 9 at 7pm as we live stream the Republican Women of Fremont County PAC’s Forum for Republican Candidates for Governor. You can watch the forum online at wyomingpbs.org or at youtube.com/wyomingpbs.
Our first debate among the Republican candidates for Governor will take place in July. We’re finalizing plans with our partner, Wyoming Public Media, and will highlight the event in the July guide.
At the suggestion of our Members, we made several important changes in our Membership drives this year. We pledged fewer days and started our fundraising later in the day during our drives. Unfortunately, less time meant fewer dollars. Our efforts fell below our expectations.
We’re offering two special opportunities in June to help make up the shortfall. First, we’re offering a special WyomingPBS exclusive opportunity to “Meet and Greet” Manheim Steamroller at their November concert in Cheyenne.
And, we’ll be conducting an online auction for a guitar autographed by blues legend Joe Bonamassa. This has been a very popular on-air auction item, and we’re hoping to raise even more for WyomingPBS auctioning online. Go to wyomingpbs.org/joe to place your bid!
During our on-air June Membership drive, you can renew your Membership or make an additional gift. And you can always call our toll free Membership number, 877-263-0702.
Finally, we’ve had several conversations with Members regarding the Membercard benefit. If you have a special place you eat or visit, and want it added to the Membercard, please call our Foundation office at the number above. It’s a big state, and no one knows it better than you. So we need your help to make the Membercard even more useful.
Thank you for watching and for being part of our family.
