nounTsotsi has a murky history as a term for a gangster.Some say it’s a corruption of the word “zootsuit” because gangsters in the 50s were notorious for their narrow-legged and colorful suits. Others claim that it comes from this Sotho term “go tsotsa” which means “to rob”
