mont Wild”, who will be present, weather permitting, at

the December 13th  Pancake Breakfast event sponsored

be there with friends for breakfast and beginning at 10:00

a.m., she will be available for signings of her newest book,

“Vermont Wild – Adventures of Fish & Game Wardens,

Volume Four”. The “Vermont Wild” series, tales of wily

poachers, persistent wardens and countless ironic twists

and turns have created a lot of the fun and laughs for read-

ers. The stories have proven popular with readers ages 9 to

    99. Local wardens star in the new “Vermont Wild” book

Retired game wardens Norm Brown of Wells and TerryWilliams of Poultney are among a half dozen men who

contributed to the newly released, Vermont Wild, Adven-

tures of Fish & Game Wardens, Volume Four. A family of

competitive deer hunters kept Williams on his toes, while

Brown and a long list of law officers spent years chasing

the leader of a well-oiled poaching ring who operated

throughout the Mettowee Valley. The new book contains

more than 260 pages and 13 illustrated short stories. Re-

tired wardens Eric Nuse of Johnson, John Kapusta of

Hardwick, Bob Lutz of Fairfax and Cabot residents, Ken

Denton and Walt Ackermann also contributed to the new

book, which features a charging bull moose on the cover.

The location for the pancake breakfast and the book sign-

ing is in the firehouse of the West Pawlet Volunteer Fire

Department in southwestern Rutland County , Vermont bor-

dering Washington County , New York. Breakfast is served

by the firemen from 7:30 to 11:00 a.m. The breakfast price

is $8.00 12 years and up, $5.00 5-12 years and children

under 5 are free. The firemen said that Santa Claus will be

at the breakfast event from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Dec.

13th. All are welcome. Megan will be in Rutland City be-

ginning at 1:00 p.m. on Dec 13th for book signings. For

more information about the West Pawlet event, one may

contact Megan’s friends – Poultney Area St. David’s Soci-

ety at [email protected] or leave a message at 802-
