GENERALCastlefairn is situated 4 miles south of Moniaive on the A702 in a scenic and peaceful location. The property sits in an attractive but accessible rural location and is about 13 miles from Thornhill and the A76 which links the south west and central Scotland from Dumfries to Glasgow. The farmhouse sits in a south facing position and lies adjacent to the farm steading.

The settlement of Moniaive, the ‘Hill of Streams’ nestles in stunning countryside where the three glens of Craigdarroch, Dalwhat and Castlefairn meet and offers a range of local amenities including a primary school, doctors surgery, Post Office and a well stocked village shop as well as hotels and cafes. It is a bustling village with a long history and strong community spirit. It has always been popular and the village hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including a Folk Festival, World Music Festival and Moniaive Gala and Horse Show held in July every year.

The south west of Scotland offers boundless sporting and outdoor activities including excellent salmon and sea trout fishing on many of the local rivers as well as trout fishing on the numerous lochs in the area. The championship courses of the West Coast such as Troon and
