The Rowlett Chamber of Commerce was pleased to honor Sonic Drive-In as Business of the Month for October 2012.
Ambassador Vice-Chair, Kim Nguyen presented the award to Owner, Keith Page. Keith’s Sonic Drive-In located at 5201 Lakeview Parkway is the only individually owned franchised Sonic in the Rowlett area. Keith believes in supporting his community and Chamber of Commerce. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Rowlett Chamber of Commerce. Keith was instrumental in helping to get the Taste and Trade of Rowlett started seven years ago, which is held every October.

Going the extra mile is not a new concept to Becky Encinia, Operator of the Chick-fil-A in Rowlett, and her crew of Chick-fil-A team members. Top-tier service is the standard for the local restaurant, which opened its doors in 2006 to the Rowlett community. On Nov. 6, the restaurant will celebrate that service tradition by marking its sixth year of operation. At the center of Encinia’s service model is a commitment to the community and community members through a variety of fundraisers, local partnerships, food drives and family-friendly events throughout the year. In advance of Thanksgiving each year, the restaurant partners with Milestone Electric Security to host a food drive benefitting Rowlett Needy Children’s Fund. Additionally, the restaurant has been involved with the local Relay for Life race since 2006, hosting the survivor’s dinner and selling food at the race with half of the proceeds directly benefitting Relay for Life. “Customer service is the most important aspect of our growing involvement in the Rowlett community,” Encinia said. “We want our restaurant to be a place where our customers come in, enjoy their meal, visit with each other, and relax. Likewise, we want our team members to be involved in the community and committed to providing superior service in and outside of the restaurant.”
