• Converted from a train station and hotel

• Bibliothèque publique d’information et Musée National d’Art Moderne

• Very distinct building, 50,000 works of art

• Color coded pipes on exterior, gives building inside-out appearance

• Cubism, abstractism, surrealism

Les Invalides

• Begun under King Louis XIV in 1670 as hospital for unwell soldiers – “les invalides”

• Veterans needed a chapel, 2 chapels built there, one a private royal chapel

• Tomb of Napoleon and many other famous war figureheads
