NO ANIMAL TESTING
In line with EU regulations, all products are tested on human volunteers,
not animals. Since 1997 we have also ensured that none of our
ingredients have been tested on animals.
NO SYNTHETIC PERFUMES OR COLOURS
We are proud that our formulations exclude synthetic perfumes and
colours. Instead we prefer to use the unique aromas of pure essential oils.
Colour is provided by the ingredients or natural inorganic minerals.

At MONU, we know there are lots of things that we still need to dobut we are trying everyday to fulfil our responsibilities to the planet.
Our drive to become a Carbon Neutral company is already

All our glass, plastic and aluminium bottles and tubes are
recyclable. All our cartons are recyclable and are made from
bleach free board. We source all our paper products from
sustainable forests.
LOCAL MANUFACTURING
We manufacture our products locally.
LOCAL SOURCING
We source all our essential oils locally.
NO AIRFREIGHT POLICY
We use land and sea to source our materials where possible.

OUR HERITAGE
The story began over 30 years ago when British beauty
therapist, Susan Molyneux became, perhaps, the first beauty
therapist to recognise that the efficacy of professional
products required a different formulation to those available
at the time.
Unable to find a range that suited her clients
demands, Susan began creating her own products
from English herbs and plants, marine extracts and
natural ingredients to produce one of the most

Dr Colette Haydon (FRiFC)
Colette Haydon is a qualified doctor of pharmacy
and dermo-cosmetology (University of Lyon,
France). During her training and early career she
gained broad experience with the Institut
Merieux, L'Oreal/Lncome and Laboratoires C.
Le Moult/Phyta.
After moving to the UK she worked for both
Biocosmetics and The Wellcome Foundation. Dr
Colette Haydon is an acknowledged specialist in

member of the Society of Cosmetic Scientists. Her
laboratories are based in London where some of

We have eliminated poor ingredients
from our products ensuring that you are onlyapplying high quality ingredients to your skin.
The table below lists ingredients that can often be found within many skincare
products, Monu products do not contain any of these!
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)
POOR SKINCAREINGREDIENTS NEGATIVE EFFECTS ON THE SKIN
This is a foaming agent often found in shampoos, bubblebaths, and foaming cleansers, but it strips the skin and cancause sensitivity and dehydration.
Lanolin Derived from sheep wool this ingredient can often be found inlip balms. This ingredient blocks pores, causes breakouts andcan cause allergic skin reactions such as eczema.
Formaldehyde A preservative used in some products often nail polishes, thisingredient can give off a toxic gas causing irritations, especiallyto the mucus membrane.
Artificial Colours These colorants that are added to product to give it a certaincolour cause the pores to block resulting in breakouts.
Artificial Fragrance Artificial fragrance can cause hyper pigmentation if usedfrequently on the skin. Often used to make a product smell acertain way.
Para Amino Benzoic Acid
(PABA)
Often found in sun protection products, this irritating ingredientcan cause eczema within the skin and can often causeprickly heat.
Urocanic Acid Another ingredient often found in sun protection products,this ingredient can become a carcinogen when it comes intocontact with the sun!
