Target audience profile

• As you can see by looking at the mood board on the previous slide you can probably guess that our film is aimed at youthful audience who like to wear expensive and designer clothes. The audience also have a high amount of disposable income to be able to afford these expensive things. They also like to play either Xbox One or PS4 and these are also new and expensive gadgets. They can be identified by the clothes they wear, the films and TV they watch as well as the foods they eat and there hobbies.

Gender• The film trailer we are making is predominately aimed at males as the

primary target audience and then obviously females are obviously the secondary audience of the trailer. The main reason why women are the secondary audience is because most horror films aren’t aimed women and they usually marginalize women in films such as Tucker and Dale vsEvil. The stock characters which we have used feature both male and female but the main character from our trailer is a man.

Age

• The age of our target audience is young (18-35) and the secondary audience is 36-50. the reason for having such a young target audience is because the characters are young therefore a young audience could find it easier to relate to what’s happening in the film. The main filming location is a place where a lot of young people go to as well.

Ethnicity/race

• The trailer is aimed at all races and ethnicities because we wanted to keep our target market as big as possible as well as not wanting to discriminate against particular ethnicities. Horrors are unique in the way that they usually do not discriminate against any one.

Physcographic

• I feel our target group psychographic is struggler and then the secondary audience is mainstreamer. The main reason why I feel our primary target audience is struggler is because they crave escapism and this is what my film will provide. Strugglers are usually younger as well and they live in the moment which is what young people do. Strugglers also eat unhealthily and consume a lot of alcohol and this is also what young people do.

• The main reason behind our secondary target audience being mainstreamer is because they listen to trends and if some young people see our film and they tell there mainstream friends and they follow the trend. Mainstreamers are usually young as well.

Day in the life of our target audience

• They may wake up later then they should and they may not bother eating breakfast as they have woken up late and are in a rush for something. They may also spend a lot of time finding things in there house because they are so disorganized. They may spend a lot of time throughout the day on social media and on the phone to friends trying to find out where they are going to later.

Hobbies and interests

• Some of the hobbies and interests of our target audience are things like going out with friends to drink alcohol, playing Playstation or Xbox, watching a film on Netflix and listening to music. They may also spend a lot of time on social media such as Instagram and Twitter.

Clothing

As you can see by looking at the mood board on a previous slide you will know that our target audience wears designer clothes and follows trends set by other friends or celebrities and footballers.
