Outlining Target audience• Primary target audience – The primary target audience for this group

would be urban youth of white(British) ethnicity from lower to middle working class social backgrounds. Indie Rock as a genre has quite a large age range for target audience varying with each band. However for our band and video the age range would be from 14-25 mostly directed at students, as the band are young and of or around that age. This allows them to connect with their audience more. Their stereotypical style of clothing would be smart casual wearing canvas shoes(converse), polo shirts (Ralph Lauren, Lyle and scott) or chequered shirts with skinny jeans or smart trousers ETC.

Internet as it’s a cheap and easy way to distribute music. It also connects them directly with their youthful audience.

The use of the internet in becoming a successful band has increased over the years due to the Arctic Monkeys another Indie Rock band who were really the first to achieve fame through the internet. Setting the trend for so many others. The Retrospectives can draw many similarities with the Arctic Monkeys another being that in the summer of 2010 the band began recording new material with producer Alan Smyth notable for his work with the Arctic Monkeys
