Tank cleaning unit TTCWater hydraulically operated telescope with tank cleaner for automated high pressure cleaning system of large wine tanks with access from below.

The TTC model is an innovative device consisting of a base frame on rollers, an extendable telescope an a 3-dimensional rotating spray head on its end. Its flat construction design allows easy handling and a simple placement of the TTC into the tank.

The tank cleaning unit TTC is available in designs of different lengths and suitable for tank with heights between 4-8 metres and a spatial diagonal of up to 10 metres.


Medium sized tanks often only have one access through the manway in the lower section. With the Tank cleaning unit TTC, MOOG has developed an extremely simple and efficient high pressure cleaning system, which lightens the workload considerably. Employees are no longer exposed to the highly odorous conditions in the tank and hygiene is significantly improved as the work is performed from the outside.

The tried and tested cleaning process technique remains unchanged, but it has been enhanced with the extendable telescope on which the cleaning head automatically moves into position. All the parts that come into contact with the media are made of 316Lstainless steel or materials that are suitable for the food industry.

When combined with an optional control unit, high pressure pump and a pipeline network, it is possible to metre all conventional liquid chemicals and programme complete cleaning cycles.

Operation of the tank cleaning unit TTC

1. Place the TTC through the manway into the tank

2. Manually swing open the telescope, supported by gas springs

3. Connect the high-pressure hose through the discharge ball valve of the tank

4. Position the TTC in the middle of the tank

5. Close the manway

6. Start the high pressure pump In a few seconds the telescope moves to its end position

7. In the end position the water hydraulically operated spray head begins to clean automatically

8. Stop the high pressure pump. The telescope retracts under its own weight and empties itself

9. Open the manway, uncouple the high-pressure hose, manually fold the telescope and remove the TTC from the tank

360° Cleaning

MOOG tank washers work with a spray head that rotates in three dimensions,driven by a waterhydraulic, electric or compressed air motor.

Through the simultaneous movement in all rotation axes, a 360 degree spraypattern is formed, thereby thoroughly cleaning every location and every cornerinside the tank.

This guarantees the most rational, effective and economic cleaning of the insideof tanks, silos, IBC, tanks, barrels and all other types of containers.
