Invest in the BEST - Fill the Nest! Wow! Our direct donation campaign was a huge success. The GRAND total was $46,650. We will begin filling our wish list due to your generosity. On the list is a new component to our playground, a nature area. We are also purchasing math kits, leveled books, updating our classroom Promethean boards, school programs, and software. We are very excited about purchasing two Chromebook carts for student use. Moore Elementary’s students and staff are very appreciative! Thank you so much for your donations! Be looking for

a MES email survey about the donation

campaign. We look forward to your feedback!

SOMANYTHANKYOUS!!! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make Moore Miles 2018 a success!  Moore Miles would not be possible without all of the volunteers and staff who give their time to make the event a success! A BIG thank you to our parents who worked the Bake Sale, pinned ID tags, marked laps, handed out water and popsicles, cheered and showed support, it all matters!  Your support means everything and we couldn't have done it without you!

PTO Loaves of Thanks  Thursday, November 15th

We want to show our teachers how thankful we are for them by baking them their favorite loaf of bread. If you love to bake and have mini loaf pans (2 1/2" by 5 1/2") bring your favorite sweet, savory or gluten/nut free bread to the office wrapped in cellophane on November 13th or 14th. Please contact Tracey Ferguson [email protected] or Jennifer Thorington  [email protected] to tell them how many loaves you'll be baking and include a post it note with the flavor. Pick up can also be arranged. Our teachers Will come by the office to pick up a wonderful treat – freshly baked loaf of bread on November 15th. Thank you in advance for participating!

NEWS from NURSE SANDERS

It’s that creepy crawly season… yep… lice season! Sorry parents but its true! If your child stays home for lice treatment or has been sent home for lice treatment, they MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian upon return to school so they can be checked before going to class. Also, please abide by our District policies when it comes to illness. If your child has a fever of 100° or higher, PLEASE DON’T SEND THEM TO SCHOOL. Medicating them in the morning makes them no less contagious and when the medication wears off and the fever returns, you will get a call from me that your child must go home and will not be able to attend the next day either. Same goes for vomiting or diarrhea; if they vomit in the morning, DON’T SEND THEM TO SCHOOL. If your child becomes ill while at school and we call for you to pick them up, it is extremely important that you pick them up in a timely manner. If you cannot get to school within 15 minutes or so, please make sure there is someone on your emergency list that can arrive within that time frame. As always, if I can be of any assistance to you or your student, don’t hesitate to contact me! Sherry Sanders, RN
