Lori Lassen is a Florida native. She has

been married to Scott for 18 years and

they have 4 children: Kayla, Kyle, Ryan and Ashley.

Lori wears many hats. She is a mom to

four wonderful children who participate

in many activities and sports. She works for Rejoice Marriage Ministries,

an outreach that her parents started

after seeing God restore their marriage. Lori and her husband recently began a

charitable foundation called The Do

More Foundation that provides grants for families with medically needy

children and funeral expenses for

families who have lost a child. She is

also involved in many ministries at Grace Baptist Church including MOPS,

Awana, Nursery and Youth Group.

Welcome to MOPS at Grace Baptist Church.

We pray that you will find opportunities this year to meet new friends, spend time with old friends,

share your triumphs and struggles, be a blessing to

others and grow in your relationship with Jesus. Our gatherings are designed to be a time of fun and

fellowship, as well as a chance to have our

wonderful nursery volunteers minister to you and your children. Fun events are scheduled each

month that you will not want to miss. Thank you

for sharing your beautiful messes with us this year!

Mom's Night Out

Starbucks in the Promenade

Every mom deserves a night out to chat with friends, drink coffee, and not worry about what

display your child is going to knock over next.

Please join us for a nice relaxing evening with no time constraints! If you are hungry, the Starbucks is

right next to Lime Grill, where they have many tasty

choices.

Saturday, September 28, 5 PM –

MOPS Family Fun Dinner at the Beach –

Bring your entire family, a blanket and/or chairs, a

picnic dinner (including drinks) and join us for fellowship and fun.

We will meet at 5 PM at Deerfield Beach, south of the pier. Look for the balloons ☺

You may also bring a dessert to share with the

entire group. (completely optional)

*As always, feel free to invite any other families!

the on-time prize drawing!

Moms live in messes. The toys, crumbs, and spit-up are their natural surroundings. Moms often feel

like a mess. They are exhausted, under-showered,

and hormonal. Their past and present circumstances and decisions can leave them feeling inadequate for

God’s love and purposes.

A Beautiful Mess — reminds moms that beauty can come out of their difficult spots. The grime of

mothering young children brings the beauty of motherhood. The bruises of life can bring God’s

redemption.

Embrace Your Story — reminds moms that their past, present and future can be used for good. God

knows where each of us has been, where we are

today and has set in motion where we are headed.
