From the Principal’s Desk: Dear STM families, This past Wednesday we had a Spirit Wear Day here at STM. Students were able to come to school out of uniform and show off their school pride. Then today we had Twins Day. This is the second year that the Student Council has sponsored this fun event for the students and staff. Teachers and students continue weekly to prepare for STM’s Hour of Code by coding in their classes. They can even do some coding at home on the websites they are using in class. Our Hour of Code will take place on December 12th. We are offering an official t-shirt that you can purchase for your child to wear that day. The order form is attached to the newsletter. We are very excited to be a part of this worldwide event! Our second annual All School Thanksgiving Feast is coming up this Tuesday, Novevember 26th. Please be sure to send in your child’s payment for the meal by Monday if you haven’t already. Thank you to those of you who have offered to donate pies. If you would like to donate a pie for our feast please bring it to school this coming Monday, November 25th. A reminder that there is no school on November 27th-29th in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Twins Day Today our Student Council sponsored the second annual Twins Day. Students and staff were able to dress like each other for a dollar donation. There were many twins, triplets, and even some quadruplets in the building! Please see the next page for some pictures from the day. Everyone truly enjoyed it! Proceeds collected from today help fund future fun events held by the Student Council.

Spirit Wear Days at STM STM students love showing their school pride on Spirit Wear Days! On such days, students can be out of uniform if they wear STM spirit wear. This past Wednesday the students celebrated a Spirit Wear Day and the excitement was evident. It truly is a great thing to see the kids in their spirit wear showing how much they love their school!

This past week, on Spirit Wear Day, the St. Thomas More Student Council debuted new t-shirts they received. The t-shirts proudly announce the dedication of the Student Council members. St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Wreath Sale 2019

This is the seventh year that the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is selling 24" mixed greens Christmas wreaths. These quality wreaths come with pine cones and an optional red velvet bow. Proceeds from this sale benefit those in need in the Elgin community this holiday season.

If you would like to purchase a wreath(s) please fill out the attached form and return it after mass next weekend or to the church office along with your payment. Please make checks payable to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. The cost of each wreath is $30. Pick up will be after the Masses on November 30th and December 1st.
