Kinetic Designer is the cornerstone of your workflow.It can be used offline for show study, simulation, and pre-encoding. When connected to the VNode media servers, Kinetic Designer will automatically distribute the media content to the VNode servers on the network.

Powerful 3Dfor show study and simulation

Our 3D workflow is inspired from 3D modeling software.It features a real-time 3D scene visualizer. Create unlimited number of scenes, use our internal object library to add objects, modify their position / rotation / size.

You can also import objects in a wide range of formats, or import complete scenes including lights, cameras and, animations. Finally, point cloud files from professional 3D scanners can also be imported in Modulo Kinetic.

Create your own animations directly in Modulo Kinetic software’s 3D viewer, import already existing animations, and modify them directly in Modulo Kinetic’s animation editor.A large number of transition curves allow you to quickly perform motion effects. These animations can be stand-alone or controlled in a timeline.

Drag-and-drop the video-projectors in your 3D scene, and configure them with their actual settings (lens, throw ratio,…). The 3D engine is closely strongly related to the nodal editor, so that you can easily control many parameters of your devices, tasks or user interfaces.Working directly from the panel application, you can also perform real-time tracking or interactive video effects.

Modulo Kinetic offers 3 types of lights: pointlight, spotlight, and directional light to create the best realistic scenes.These lights come with many settings: power, color, temperature, attenuation, direction,... They are all accessible in the nodal or animations editors.

3D particles engine

A powerful 3D particles engine offers real-time generative and interactive content. Particles can be created, modified, and animated directly in Modulo Kinetic’s user interface to produce spectacular effects.The particles are available in two forms:- CPU for advanced control and complex animations- GPU for a very large number of particles displayed simultaneously

Many generators are available to make your particles appear: boxes, spheres, textures, 3D meshes, and more. They can be combined, creating infinite possibilities.Particles can interact with a wide range of modifiers: from noises, spirals, attractors, colliders, to the most powerful vector fields as used in latest video games.

Render surfaces can be used as textures for particles or as a spawner.

Modulo Kinetic’s exclusive real-time skinning feature allows you to have animated avatars in your simulations. Take full control of it using animations or even better, with a motion capture suit combined with a fully customizable bone retargeting.

Advanced Interactivity & Tracking Capabilitiesfor the most creative shows

To optimize performance and usability, Modulo Pi has developed its own tracking system.Available as an option in Modulo Kinetic’s new version, the optical tracking module allows real-time projection on moving objects, interaction with 3D scenes (including particles), and sending beacon position to light desk or 3D spatial audio system thanks to our extensive protocols support (Art-Net, OSC, PosiStage,...).

All the calibration steps are integrated in Modulo Kinetic: - Easily calibrate the motion capture rig of infrared camera- Set a 3D world reference - Fully auto-calibrate the video-projectors using the same cameras.

The user-friendly integrated interface allows the quick setup of the tracking solution. It offers ultra-low latency to project on 3D moving objects with accuracy and precision. Thanks to our real-time 3D soft edge, you can seamlessly move an object in front of multiple overlapping projectors.

The flexible nodal programming panel allows easy connection between the beacons and rigid body poses in the 3D scene.Easily track beacons, each of them being identified by a unique ID.Quickly interact with parameters of the timelines, use a beacon to interact with particles,… Modulo Kinetic is also compatible with other tracking and motion control solutions such as BlackTrax, or Kinesys.

To meet your specific requirements, Modulo Kinetic is available in different hardware configurations which can all be customized: add a timecode card, a live capture card, additional storage capacity etc.

Modulo Pi’s systems are based on strictly qualified GPUs. We are technology partners of graphic cards and live input boards leading manufacturers, and are in regular contact with the driver’s developers.All our systems are running on Windows 10 LTSB 64 bits. All information about the hardware, such as temperature, storage capacity or memory usage, are available any time within the software.
