New Sunday School Class
We have a new Sunday School class for Adults, ages 20-40something taught by Charlotte Madison. Senior Adult Fall Trip to Pigeon Forge
The Senior Adult Fall Trip to Pigeon Forge is filled! The trip is Mon. through Fri., Nov. 5-9. Final payment of $200.00 per person is due September 24th.
Ladies of Southside
Please join us for a Soup/Missions Dinner on Tuesday, September 11 at 5:30. We are honored that our Alabama WUM Executive Director, Candace McIntosh, will be our guest speaker for this Week of Prayer for State Missions event. Invite your friends from other churches to join us! If you are not receiving emails about women's events, please contact Pam Gray in the church office and she will add you to our list.
Ladies Crafting Event
If you enjoy crafts, consider coming on September 18 at 9:30 a.m. for a card-making session. Charity Wright, a Stampin' Up Consultant will show us how to create beautiful handmade cards with a focus on encouragement and love. There is a $10 fee to cover cost of materials. You will go home with five love cards/envelopes. For this session, please RSVP (to Charlotte or the church office) no later than Wednesday, September 5 so Charity will prepare and bring enough materials!
CCC Soup Kitchen
We will be preparing food for the CCC Soup Kitchen on Thursday, Sept. 13th. Donations to help purchase the food would be appreciated. You can place your donation in the offering plate—be sure to mark your envelope/check for the Soup Kitchen. Please contact Lamar or Joyce Smith if you are interested in helping serve the food at the CCC.
