Duties during the war:When he graduated from WHS at the outbreak of  war, he joined the McGill C.D.T.C. He trained at the No.1 Wireless School and later at Fingal Out， where he arrived at his wing duties in December. In 1940，he arrived in England and in February he began working as a wireless air gunner in a Halifax bomber.

Circumstances of his death: There are little details about the circumstances of his death. Maybe he died when his army was escorting a merchant ship. On that day US boats and German aircraft attacked a merchant  ship.

There were 67 soldiers that died. Maybe this is the last picture he was in. Family :The son of Max and Leah Usher of 4966 Decarie Blvd., Notre Dame de Grace .
