The sword Excalibur
The sword Excalibur was said to be a magical sword that no one could pull from the stone. Only King Arthur could pull it from the stone thus appointing him to the throne.

A shield
A shield was used to show courage and strength for many knights. Just like police wear badges to show their rank and the oath that they swore on when they applied for that job.

King Arthur
King Arthur was considered one of the most noblest kings of all time because of his bravery and courage. He is the one who could pull out the sword Excalibur which gave him such publicity during those times.

The armor was a symbol of safety and strength and it also kept the knights out of harms way. The phrase that many women today” my Knight in shining armor” could have came from this.
