Functions Update:Talent Management

Talent Management has been one of the key drivers for the growth that the LC has had overall in the year 2013. Right from optimized recruitment-induction-mentorship-allocation and so on the process knowledge and implementation in each of the departments were well defined and executed.

Another main driver for TM AIESEC in Bangalore 2013 was the phase tracking decentralization that helped in easier tracking of manpower in each of the departments. Each portfolio had a HRM who was responsible for implementation of tracking and TM processes. The EB was well trained and executed this to perfection.

Finance

The initial 6 months of Finance in AIESEC in Bangalore was in a deplorable state. We had just broken a Fixed Deposit in January 2012 for paying the Q4 recon of 2012 and were left with almost bare minimum at the start of the year. Also, financial systems were not being followed. At JNC we were labelled as RED during the SONA.

After a change in personnel in the portfolio, things picked up. By NSC, a simple yet effective tracking module was made and implemented by decentralizing it within the departments. Each department had Financial Coordinators who managed and tracked finances. After JNC AIESEC in Bangalore did a total of 3 events and 1 Local Congress. Recon Amount of Rs 540000 has been cleared with the MC and as of now we do not have any outstanding payments yet to be made.

Business Development

Business Development came from a lacklustre year of having raised less than 1L in income. BD in the first month of 2013 co created with all the exchange departments and made a clear product basket and timeline. We started the year

with our very first Youth to Business Forum which went paved the way for the year to progress.

Overall Business Development has leaped from Rs 1L in 2012 to 8L along with key activities such as setting up an Alumni Sustainability Board, re-establishing the Local Board of Advisors, raising for iGCDP and also effective management of all the stakeholders. Overall, Business Development has been one of the strongestdepartments in the LC in terms of contribution to operations as well as having clarity of functioning.

Communications and Information Management

In the start of the year we recognized that CIM would be one of the growth drivers of the LC. The year started off well with Podio Implementation, Internal Communications, IM & KM hub running smoothly. In JNC AIESEC in Bangalore CIM was recognized as within Top 3 in AIESEC India for the simplicity and for being an enabler to operations across all portfolios.

Post JNC CIM was taken to the next rung in the ladder with Business Intelligence being added on to the arsenal of activities in the LC and that lead to immense growth in the GCDP programs and GIPi.
