Gryffe High School Parent Council
• The award is based on the school’s self evaluation of our structures and processes, plus a verification visit.
• At that time, Gryffe High School was
only the 3rd High School in Scotland to
receive the award
– and the first local authority school.
“Gryffe High School is a forward thinking and progressive secondary school that works closely with their associated primaries.”
Gryffe High School also uses Glow throughout the school using OneDrive and Microsoft Teams. Pupils in the Focus Group that I attended were keen to tell me about their use, in particular of OneDrive and how this had helped to enhance their learning through collaboration both with peers but also with staff members.
“Throughout the school pupils are able to access a wide range of programmes including Edmodo, Kahoot and Schoology. These are used very effectively for revision of topics in many subject areas and for those studying for exams access to these programmes have been invaluable for their own independent studies.”
Digital schools at Gryffe High School
• We have a positive mindset and a ‘can do’ attitude – determination and commitment.
• We may have obstacles, but how can we maximise every opportunity and object at our disposal?
• We must be creative and positive.
So what are we doing?
The ICT toolkit:
This is available for all staff to access which gives them quick and easy points on how to implement a digital technology in the classroom.
