    Caution: Dont bend or scratch your SIM card.

    battery tipsBattery life depends on the network, signalstrength, temperature, features, andaccessories you use.

    Always useMotorola Original batteriesand chargers. The warrantydoes not cover damagecaused by non-Motorola batteriesand/or chargers.

    New batteries or batteries stored for along time may take more time tocharge.

    When charging your battery, keep itnear room temperature.

    When storing your battery, keep ituncharged in a cool, dark, dry place.

    Never expose batteries totemperatures below -10C (14F) orabove 45C (113F). Always take your

    phone with you when you leave yourvehicle.

    It is normal for batteries to graduallywear down and require longer charging

    times. If you notice a change in yourbattery life, it is probably time topurchase a new battery.

    Contact your local recycling center for

    proper battery disposal.Warning: Never dispose of batteries in a firebecause they may explode.

    Tip: Relax, you cant overcharge your battery.It will perform best after you fully charge anddischarge it a few times.

    Note: You can charge your batteryby connecting a cable from yourphones mini-USB port to a USBport on a computer. Both your

    phone and the computer must be turned on,and your computer must have the correctsoftware drivers installed. Cables andsoftware drivers are available inMotorola Original data kits, sold separately.

    A Multimedia Messaging Service(MMS) message contains pages with

    text and media objects (includingphotos, sounds, or video clips). You can sendthe multimedia message to otherMMS-capable phones, and to emailaddresses.

    Find it: PressR > Create Message> New Multimedia Msg

    1 Press keypad keys to enter text on thepage (for text entry information, seepage 36).

    To insert a picture, sound, video clip,voice record, quick note, or contact infoon the page, pressa > Insert. Select the

    file type and the file.

    To insert another page, pressa > Insert> New Page. You can enter moretext and objects on the new page.

    2 When you finish the message, pressa> Message Options to set message options(such as Subjectand Priority.

    3 When you finish setting message options,

    press the Done key.

    4 Press the Send To key to select messagerecipients. You can:

    Select one or more entries from yourphonebook.

    Select New Number or New Email Address toenter a phone number or emailaddress.

    When you receive a multimediamessage or letter, your phone plays an

    alert, and the display shows New Messagewith a message indicator (such as r).

    Press the Read key to open the message.

    Photos, pictures, and animations showas you read the message.

    A sound file plays as you read themessage. Use the volume keys toadjust the sound volume.

    Attached files are added to the end ofthe message. To open an attachment,select the file indicator/filename.

    Bluetooth wireless

    Your phone supports Bluetooth

    wireless connections. You can connectyour phone with a Bluetooth headset orcar kit to make handsfree calls. You canconnect your phone with a phone orcomputer that supports Bluetoothconnections to exchange files.

    Note: The use of wireless phones whiledriving may cause distraction. Discontinue acall if you cant concentrate on driving.

    Additionally, the use of wireless devices andtheir accessories may be prohibited orrestricted in certain areas. Always obey thelaws and regulations on the use of these

    products.For maximum Bluetooth security, youshould always connect Bluetooth devices in asafe, private environment.

    kitBefore you try to pair your phone with ahandsfree device, make sure the device ison and ready in pairingor bondingmode (see

    the users guide for the device). You canconnect your phone with only one device at atime.

    Your phone lists the devices it finds withinrange.

    1 Scroll to a device in the list.

    2 Press the center keys to connect to the

    device.When your phone is connected, the Bluetoothindicator shows in the home screen andthe external Bluetooth indicator light flashes.

    Shortcut: When Bluetooth power is on, yourphone can automatically pair with a handsfreedevice you have used before. Just turn on thedevice and move it near the phone.

    Note: You cant copy some copyrightedobjects.

    Before you try to copy a file to anotherdevice, make sure the receiving device is onand ready in discoverable mode.

    1 On your phone, scroll to the object thatyou want to copy to the other device.

    2 Pressa, then select:

    Copy for a photo, picture, video clip, or

    sound file. Share Phonebook Entry for a phonebook

    entry.

    Send for a datebook event or bookmark.

    3 Select a recognized device name, or[Look For Devices] to search for anunrecognized device where you want to

    copy the object.

    Note: Once you connect your phone to aBluetooth device, that device can start asimilar Bluetooth connection with your phone.

    Your display shows the Bluetooth indicator when there is a Bluetooth connection.

    You can quickly change your phones ring styleprofile to match your activity, environment, or

    personal requirements. Each profile uses adifferent set of ringtones or vibrations forincoming calls and other events. The Silentprofile silences your phone until you setanother ring style. The ring style indicator

    Automobile Air Bags

    Potentially Explosive Atmospheres

    Areas with potentially explosive atmospheres are often but notalways posted, and can include fueling areas such as below decks

    Damaged Products

    If your mobile device or battery has been submerged in water,punctured, or subjected to a severe fall, do not use it until you takeit to a Motorola Authorized Service Center. Do not attempt to dry itwith an external heat source, such as a microwave oven.

    Batteries and Chargers

    If jewelry, keys, beaded chains, or other conductivematerials touch exposed battery terminals, this

    could complete an electrical circuit (short circuit),become very hot, and could cause damage orinjury. Be careful when handling a charged battery,particularly when placing it inside a pocket, purse, or othercontainer with metal objects. Use only Motorola Originalbatteries and chargers.

    Caution: To avoid risk of personal injury, do not dispose of yourbattery in a fire.

    Glass PartsSome parts of your mobile device may be made of glass. This glasscould break if the product is dropped on a hard surface or receivesa substantial impact. If glass breaks, do not touch or attempt to

    remove. Stop using your mobile device until the glass is replacedby a qualified service center.

    Seizures/BlackoutsSome people may be susceptible to epileptic seizures or blackouts

    when exposed to flashing lights, such as when playing videogames. These may occur even if a person has never had a previousseizure or blackout.
