COMPANY PROFILE

DINO PAOLI S.r.l. was established in 1968 as specialised makers of pneumatic impact wrenches and accessories. A leader in Italy, the company soon started to reach out to foreign markets, especially in Europe. High quality of products and services fast gained them important credit with one of the most selective and demanding customers, i.e. FORMULA 1, supplied since 1975. This was the start of a long experience in the sector of Motorsport. In 1995, PAOLI enters the US Motorsport market and demonstrates the quality of their products on the pit lanes of INDY FORMULA and CART FORMULA. To date, the users of PAOLI PIT STOP® products include all the teams running for the following championships: F.1, GP2, DTM, WORLD SERIES BY RENAULT, A1GP, IRL, F.NIPPON, V8-SUPERCAR, and nearly all racing stables in ENDURANCE, GT, F.3000, ALMS specialties. It is also worth mentioning that the main teams of the remaining championships are satisfied customers of PAOLI PIT STOP® recommended products and accessories.

DINO PAOLI S.r.l. fu fondata nel 1968, specializzandosi nella produzione di avvitatori pneumatici ad impulso ed accessori. Assumendo la leadership nel mercato a livello nazionale, l’azienda dimostra fin dai primi passi una propensione allo sviluppo dei mercati esteri, principalmente europei. L’elevata qualità del prodotto e del servizio offerti ottiene velocemente un importante riconoscimento con l’ingresso, nel 1975, in uno degli ambienti più esigenti e selettivi, la FORMULA 1, dando così l’avvio alla sua lunga tradizione di presenza nel settore del Motorsport. Nel 1995, PAOLI entra nel Motorsport statunitense facendo riconoscere la qualità dei suoi prodotti anche sulle Pit Lanes della FORMULA INDY e della FORMULA CART. Attualmente, fra gli utilizzatori dei prodotti PAOLI PIT STOP® si annoverano tutti i team partecipanti ai seguenti campionati: F.1, GP2, DTM, WORLD SERIES BY RENAULT, A1GP, IRL, F.NIPPON, V8-SUPERCAR, e la quasi totalità delle scuderie delle specialità ENDURANCE, GT, F.3000, ALMS. Inoltre, da ricordare che anche i principali team di tutti gli altri campionati utilizzano, con soddisfazione, i prodotti e gli accessori raccomandati PAOLI PIT STOP®.

IN MOTORSPORT SINCE 1975

Originally used in shops catering for private cars and industrial machinery, PAOLI® impact wrenches were credited as highly efficient pneumatic tools. Great care to the smallest technical parts helped obtaining optimum weight/power ratio and great reliability during operation. Considering these peculiar features of his tools, Mr. Dino Paoli, the company’s founder, decided to offer them to the most famous and celebrated Italian team. “The idea - says Paoli - came to my mind in 1975 while I was watching a red racing car being serviced during a pit stop on TV. I proposed my products and I was pleased to be picked against an American competitor. Our partnership has been going on since then”. After that happy start, a few other Formula 1 teams chose PAOLI® impact wrenches for fast tyre change and then all teams in Formula 1 were using them by the early 1990s. Later on, other Formulas around the world followed their example: the US teams from INDY F. and CART F., the Japanese teams from NIPPON F., the Australian teams from V8-SUPERCAR and several other European and extra-European Formulas.

Inizialmente applicato nelle comuni officine per veicoli privati e industriali, fin dalle origini, l’avvitatore PAOLI® si caratterizza come un utensile pneumatico dalle elevate prestazioni, determinate da una notevole cura e attenzione al particolare tecnico anche minuto, che ha portato ad un ottimale rapporto peso/potenza e ad un elevato grado di affidabilità in servizio. Furono proprio queste caratteristiche peculiari a spingere il fondatore dell’azienda, Dino Paoli, a proporre per la prima volta un modello PAOLI® al più famoso e blasonato team italiano. “L’idea - dice il Sig. Paoli - mi venne nel ’75, assistendo in TV ad una sosta ai box di un bolide rosso. Proposi i miei prodotti ed ebbi il piacere di essere prescelto vincendo la concorrenza di una ditta americana. Da allora la collaborazione continua”. Dopo quel felice inizio, molti altri team di Formula 1 decisero di affidare all’avvitatore PAOLI® le sorti del cambio gomme in velocità, fino ad arrivare alla totalità dei team di Formula 1 nei primi anni ’90. Da allora in poi, altre Formule in tutto il mondo hanno seguito l’esempio della F.1: i team americani della F. INDY e F. CART, quelli giapponesi della F. NIPPON, gli australiani della V8-SUPERCAR e moltissime altre formule europee e non.

MAXIMUM SPEED Massima velocità

Today’s racing cars can reach exceptional speed and performances, and are all capable of winning. Many team managers will tell you that the spot where they can win a race is the pit lane (average time for pit stop: below 7 seconds). PAOLI PIT STOP® impact wrenches will tighten a large nut (up to 90 mm wide) in less than one second at a pressure of 20 bars. With a METALORE® titanium socket wrench, it will easily change all four tyres in less than 3 seconds. Coupling PAOLI® impact wrenches and METALORE® wheel nut sockets, a pit stop will become an irresistible burst of power.

Since Motorsport represents the highest range and most delicate performance for our machines, we have decided to invest time to study how to implement service performances as well as having a complete history information of all machines out in the field by our clients. With this purpose we are creating a complete service history report file for each individual machine that since the end of December 2006 has entered our premises for servicing. We take note of all services, parts and any relevant information about the machine itself. At any time a client can ask us information about a specific serial number and we will be able to tell him its entire story. Every year we service many hundreds of wheel guns and air pressure regulators and their number is increasing yearly. Unfortunately, sometimes we receive the machines to service or repair without any purchase order, delivery notice, list of serial numbers of the machines delivered or any other relevant information for the service required. This is causing us problems to recognize and allocate the machines with the right clients because we can receive in a week more than 100 of them. For this reason we have created the enclosed table which will warmly suggest you to fill in (make a copy for yourself) and deliver it in the same box together with the machines you are sending us. This will provide us with all useful and complete information without finding ourselves with hundreds machines with no clue who has sent them, for what, from where and when they are needed. No need to say that machines without this table will be postponed after completing others with full information. We understand that it will take you some time to fill it in but we assure you that all information required will prevent further delays, exchange of several phone calls, e-mails and many misunderstandings. Il settore Motorsport rappresenta la gamma più elevata dei nostri prodotti, nonché quella dalle performance più sensibili. Abbiamo dunque deciso di investire tempo per studiare come implementare le prestazioni relative al servizio di assistenza, raccogliendo allo stesso tempo una completa raccolta di informazioni “storiche” relative ai prodotti presso i nostri clienti sui vari mercati. Con queste finalità, stiamo creando un archivio di tutte le revisioni eseguite per ogni singolo avvitatore e regolatore di pressione che è rientrato presso la nostra azienda per assistenza a far data dalla fine di dicembre 2006. Registriamo tutti i servizi di assistenza, i pezzi sostituiti ed ogni informazione di rilievo relativa ai prodotti in revisione. Il cliente ci può richiedere in ogni momento informazioni in merito ad un determinato numero di matricola e saremo in grado di fornirgli l’intera storia delle varie revisioni effettuate. Ogni anno facciamo assistenza a molte centinaia di avvitatori e riduttori di pressione, e il loro numero è in aumento di anno in anno. Sfortunatamente, a volte, riceviamo i prodotti da revisionare senza alcun ordine scritto, bolla di consegna, elenco dei numeri di serie consegnati o ogni altra importante informazione necessaria per il servizio richiesto. Questo ci causa numerosi problemi nel riconoscere e assegnare i prodotti ai clienti loro proprietari poiché possiamo ricevere anche più di 100 prodotti per assistenza in una sola settimana. Per questa ragione abbiamo creato la tabella allegata che vi raccomandiamo caldamente di compilare (fatevene una copia per i vostri archivi) e di consegnarci nella stessa scatola con i prodotti che ci invierete. Ciò ci consentirà di avere a disposizione utili e complete informazioni senza ritrovarci con centinaia di prodotti senza indizi chiari su chi ce li ha inviati, per quale ragione, da dove e per quando sono richiesti in riconsegna revisionati. Non c’è bisogno di aggiungere che i prodotti che ci pervengono senza questa tabella passeranno in coda nel programma di riparazione interno, dopo aver completato tutti quelli pervenuti con le debite informazioni fornite. Comprendiamo che dovrete spendere un po’ del vostro tempo nel compilare la scheda, ma vi assicuriamo che le informazioni richieste vi eviteranno ritardi, inutili scambi di telefonate, e-mails e possibili errori od incomprensioni.
