Mayor's Message
Please Note : Free public transport is available to all Victorian Seniors Card Holders from 6 to 13 October along with free economy V/Line travel on 8,9,10,12 and 13 October.
Mount Alexander Shire has a thriving community of older persons and this wonderful event is an annual celebration of this vibrancy.
The range of activities on offer during the 2013 Seniors Festival will ensure that there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Staying active and socially engaged has been shown to be of enormous benefit in staying healthy, both physically and mentally.
Council is proud to support the 2013 Seniors Festival, in conjunction with other key agencies and community organisations.
I congratulate the event organisers for their efforts and on behalf of Council, I encourage people to get out and about to experience all that is on offer.

Speakers: Respected local artist Molly Maddox and writer Joan Webster OAM will share experiences from their life journey.

Victorian Goldfields Railway
Have an authentic steam era experience travelling with the Victorian Goldfields Railway. The Victorian Goldfields Railway is a 1,600 mm broad gauge tourist railway in Victoria, Australia. It operates along a formerly disused branch line between the towns of Maldon and Castlemaine.

Come along and join in the lunch or just call in for a cuppa and a chat. Whilst there have a look at the stalls or drop into the Ray Bradfield rooms where information will be available about services and activities available within the shire.
