Dear Parents,
“Our God is an Awesome God”, the
junior Carmelites sang this song as an
expression of joy and gratitude to the
Almighty under whose watchful care
and protection we have been thriving
over these past months! September 7th
was a memorable day in the history of
our Mount Carmel Institution as we
blessed and inaugurated the new
school building.
Celebrations :
Blessing of the school
Building:
Grandparents Day:
Grandparents Day was a wonderful
event with a good turnout. We had
over 350 grandparents to make the
event a joyful and colorful one. I thank
all the parents and grandparents for
making this a successful event.
MOUNT CARMEL CENTRAL SCHOOL September 2019
Performances by our children for their Grandparents !
Various Games for Grandpa &Gramdma!
Teachers Day:
We had an incredible day for the
Teachers! Our students put up a great
program to honor our teachers on 11th
Sept. The Student Council surprised
us by their leadership skills and
involvement in planning, organizing
and executing the event; it was an
opportunity to exhibit their multiple
talents through the variety show.
Thank you GIRLS!
Kiddy Buddy Party: Students of
Event Management from our MCC
department of Home Science
organized a Kiddy Buddy Party for our
UKG students in our school Mini Park.
They really enjoyed having lots of
games; healthy snacks and music .we
thank the HOD of the department,
lecturers and students.
National Nutritional Month: In
order to create awareness of Nutrition
& Hygiene, the MCC department of
Home Science conducted a program
for the students of IV - VII Grade in the
college Basement Auditorium. It was
an interactive and educative session
which is a part of their Science
Curriculum. We are very grateful to the
MCC students and the department.

100th Day Project:
100th Day Celebration is coming
up;kindly help your child making a
project with 100 items during the
Dasara Holidays, which will be due in
November on 100th Day of School
celebration. The date and the time will
be informed later. This is only for the
Kindergartners! It is a simple fun
activity; the kids can do with the
parents at home. The idea behind
having this is to give our kids sense
of,days, time, numbers and hands on
activity experience.
Read…..Read…..Read…:
Poor reading habit results in poor
performance and vice versa! I urge
you parents, motivate your child to
read at least 10-20 minutes every day
and spend more time on other days
like weekend, or holidays. Language
Artscomponents are Reading,
speaking, comprehension, vocabulary,
spelling, grammar, and writings, this
should be developed through Reading
and writing. Please help cultivating this
skill in your child by reading in their
early age while in primary classes.
Dasara Vacation:
October 7th – 19th
School will resume on Monday,
October 21st. Before you get off for
vacation, please see that your child
has any Projects or home assignments
need to be completed. The Pre-
Primary students may have a
100th day project to be done with their
parents.
Note: This is very disappointing to note
that the upper grade students are
encouraged by the parents to use
Whatsapp chatting and phoning to
their friends/ classmates. I was told by
few of the parents to advise the girls
on this issue. However, very sensible
parents have refrained their daughters.
It is a tendency for kids to misuse the
social media as they are not mature
enough to make right choices at times.
Some parents pacify their child giving
the cell phones to use it or play games
on it, consequently they get addicted
to it and later parents will have no
control over it. Parents, this is
negligence in good parenting as they
are MINORS. Please instill in them
reading habits and other outdoor/
indoor activities which will enhance
their learning skills and behavior.
Competition/Winners: We
congratulate everyone who
participated in the various competitions
held at school for August/ September.
