Mrs. Riggie is Back! All of us at Mount St. Mary are pleased to let our parents and students know that Mrs. Riggie will be returning on Monday, December 5 from her recent surgery. She has been cleared to work part-time days until we return from Christ- mas break, when she plans to resume her regular hours. Mrs. Riggie is grateful to eve- ryone who offered prayers, cards, and words of encourage- ment as she recovered from surgery. MSM iPad Cases for Sale The MSM Parents’ Association is selling iPad cases for stu- dents. The cases are designed to fit the iPad Air and iPad Air 2 models of our current fresh- men, sophomores, and juniors. The new cases offer protection, and provide a full-function Bluetooth keyboard with built- in rechargeable battery. The black case opens into a stand and is imprinted with the MSM crest. They are available via preor- der only for $85. Order forms will be available at the craft show in the Internet Café this Sunday. your help to make Christmas magi-

cal for children in need. We will be

collecting Advent shoe box gifts for

the children of St. Luke’s Mission of

Mercy from now until December 20.

There are three ways you can help:

1. Put together a box (or boxes!)

2. Bring in small items for a box

(see suggestions on Page 3).

Advent throughout the month with

special activities sponsored by our

Campus Ministry.

The Chapel is open for any students

or faculty every day before school

starting at 7:15 a.m. and after

school until 3:15 p.m. Students are

welcome to visit the chapel for a

quiet moment of prayer and reflec-

tion.

On Monday mornings, students are

invited to come to the chapel and

say the Rosary for peace in our

world.

Every Friday morning, Ms. Saltarel-

li hosts Bagels, Bibles, and Girl Talk

about Mary “behind the scenes” in

Room 117 beginning at 7 a.m.

On December 12, students will be say-

ing the Rosary for refugees and learn-

ing more about what we can do to help

in the refugee crisis.

Advent Shoe Box Project 2016

Need some help getting ideas for your Advent Shoe Box gift? Here are some good places to start!

Gift Suggestions :

Dollar stores or $1.00 sections at stores such as Target, WalMart, Wegmans/Tops, etc. are

great places to shop for items for the shoe boxes!!

Listed below are some age-specific suggestions for items to fill boxes with.

We also recommend hats, gloves, and socks for all genders and age groups.

Wrapped candy and small gift cards are also an option to put in boxes.

Do NOT include:

Used, dirty, or damaged toys, unwrapped food, anything open, fragile items, sharp objects,

medicine or vitamins, toy guns or knives, or anything that could harm a child.

Ideas for Young Girls:

coloring books, any art supplies, small toys, stickers, dolls, puzzles, stuffed ani-

mals, harmonicas, yo-yos, stamps, slinkies, books, small games, flash cards, picture

books, stuffed animals, small barbies, tiar-as, small purses, hair supplies, and any

other fun toys for little girls!

Ideas for Young Boys:

small cars, balls, art supplies, coloring books, puzzles, yo-yos, harmonicas, small toys, slinkies, stickers, stamps, books, small games, flash cards, picture books, stuffed animals, toy animals, small transformer toys, toy soldiers, sport balls, and any other fun toys for little boys!
