MOUNT ZION BAPTIST CHURCH THE VIEW | OCTOBER 2017 We are excited that Dr. Charlie Howell, Executive Director of Missions at the Mad- ison Baptist Association, will be here to share with us in the blended services on Sunday, October 29. Dr. Howell began serving as the Madison Baptist Association’s Executive Director of Missions on August 14, 2012. Before coming to Huntsville he served as pastor of the Frist Baptist Church of Blue Ridge, Georgia for over eleven years. Dr. Howell has served full-time on church staffs in Georgia and Delaware since 1979. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia (B.S. Ed., 1976), Southwestern Baptist Seminary (M.Div., 1979), and Luther Rice Seminar (D.Min., 1992). Mount Zion Baptist Church has had a long standing fellowship with the Madison Baptist Association. Partnering to reach and serve not only Madison County, but the world. Participating in Rocket City Missions, Trail of Tears Ride, Disaster Relief, and medical missions in Romania are just a few examples of how Mount Zion partners with the Madison Baptist Association in reaching people for Christ. Our Kids Special Needs Sunday morning class started on September 24th and the leaders are doing an amazing job! Fami-lies are bringing their children to a safe place with trained adults. The word is getting out and more families will be coming!!

Fall Festival planning is going strong with grate leaders already in place so that our community will hopefully see the love of Christ!

ACTIVITIES Each Adult Sunday School class is asked to volunteer sponsor a booth/activity or to donate baked goods for the cake walk or GA Bake Sale. Sign up sheets are available in your Sun-day School Class or you can sign up online at mzbc.net/kids. Candy donations are needed and can be dropped off in the gym lobby or any drop point around the church.
