We offer customers to pay per view or subscribe to our service but our licensing
model is Pay Per View (PPV)/TVOD (Transactional Video on Demand) only: You get
paid every time a customer watches a film, no matter if he paid for the individual
movie or a subscription to all movies on Movie Menu or a menu of films. Fur-
thermore we guarantee our licensors a
minimum gross price of 2 euros/2 dol-lars/2 pounds per transaction. If some-
body watches a large menu with 14 films,
which he bought for 24.99 euros, dividing
the price by 14, ends up being less than 2
euros per film, but we still guarantee the
minimum price of 2 euros! From these 2
or up to 8 Euros (gross price) per trans-
action, we subtract any applicable taxes
and government fees (for German trans-
actions the so-called Filmförderabgabe
FFA applies, a tax meant to promote art-
house film production and distribution).
We pay the music license fees to the
German music collecting agency GEMA,
which represents the interests of prac-
tically all major international collecting
agencies in Germany and finally recoup
our distribution expenses before splitting
the revenue between us at 50/50.
These distribution expenses simply
cover the costs of storing the film and de-
livering it securely at the highest image
and sound quality in near BluRay-quality,
if the client’s computer and connection
speed allows it as well as the costs of
offering the customer a vast selection of payment options and a secure trans-
action, that is all major credit cards and nationally common payment methods, like
Giropay for Germany for example. Regarding foreign currency transactions, we have
accounts for all major currencies and thus are able to accept for example Dollar to
Dollar transactions directly without any conversion to Euro and back, saving licen-

We guarantee the maximum image and sound quality, customer satis-faction and passion! But we cannot give you a minimum guarantee.*
*Why? Because arthouse VOD as a business model simply cannot afford minimum guaran-tees. A well-assorted VOD platform probably should have 3000 films, assuming a minimum gurantee of just 1500 euro per film, would create recurring upfront licensing costs of 4.5 million euro on top of the actual operating costs and the significant unfront investment for mastering each film.

Ein Labyrinth, ein Traum, student project, displays the same graphical labyrinth in two different media: An analogue, map-like presentation, exhibited at the HBK Rundgang, allows the viewer to track the paths of the characters via icons. The internet version accessable at jfml.eu/labyrinth enables the viewer to follow the sequences of the story
My diploma Nach der Zeit deals with the question of how to live in a world where not only society as we know it but everything that defines our reality now (time, space, etc.) has fallen apart, see also kd-zeigen.de
