And a few more to make an editorial. So there is a subscribable theory that we manifest our own personal realities. A powerful thing. The first step is to figure out what you want. And then you figure out how to get it. It is actually as simple as it sounds. In the space of only 3 weeks I lost 13 pounds and received a job offer with a much better salary. Also my girlfriend came back to me and I was made vice captain of the quiz team. Actually you should be careful who you listen too. For now I would recommend Patti Smith. Further reading and watching available on request.

a few words to make a title

Sailing on a tranquil sea, she sometimes wondered why it was she who had the gift and had to bare it. She possessed

without protest, never professing to know what couldn’t quite be described, yet it was known to her. Without orders she was followed, and others followed where she led. She swam with arched content, and ripples like rainbows spread in ribbons behind. In her curvaceous mind there was never doubt, but always an evergreen consciousness of being. She knew her destination like she knew the places she had already been. She recognised her path in the hopes of others and she saw her future in sparkles in other peoples eyes. She swam and she swam.

introducing:The Lonely Postmans ClubThe lonely postmans club.So I want to receive and send postcards. Handmade, or at least hand written.

Please write mouth a postcard:The Friendly BunchBei Iks 150311 Straße Der Pariser Kommune Berlin 10243GGermany#

Etc etc. Be sure to include your return address so I can respond in kind, which will happen immediately. I have the card already. I might use your postcards in an exhibition. They will definitely not go to waste.

Consider the lonely postman. Times are tough in this digital age.

Consider the joy your postcard will bring to a hungry letterbox in East Berlin.

Consider this.

Pass it on.

Trout, incidentally, had written a book about a money tree. It had twenty dollar-bills for leaves. Its flowers were government bonds. Its fruit was

diamonds. It attracted human beings who killed each other at its roots and made very good fertiliser.

So it goes. kurt vonnegut - slaughter-house-five

In the news yesterday the IMF (International MonetaryFund) warned that worldwide economic growth wouldbe negative for the first time since the Second WorldWar, scientists released a statement advising that theworlds oceans were becoming acidic at an alarmingrate, with biological disasters expected in the comingdecades and finally a small piece on wild elephants inSouth East Asia and how there are now less than 150left in the wild.

First of all - a ‘warning’ from the IMF. Who the fuckare they kidding. What have the last 50 years sinceWorld War 2 actually delivered us, and at what cost tothe ecosystem that supports us.I’m starting a petition. It is called Fuck EconomicGrowth with the by-line ‘in support of expletives’.I’m sick of the term being used by politicians andcorporates to justify the rape of people and the rape ofthe world. Cost Economics is a crock of shit. Check outTrue Cost Economics if you haven’t already. It factorsthe depletion of resources into the equation.i.e Cutting down a rainforest to make toilet paper forthe Murdochs would typically be classed as growthdepending on the amount of toilet paper manufactured.Under True Cost Economics the loss of the rainforestas a oxygen creating, habitat providing organism wouldbe entered into the equation and as a result the advicewould be to leave the trees standing and to leave theMurdochs with smelly hands as opposed to bloodyones.

There need to be targets. Not like the Kyoto Protocoltargets. I mean the round ones with numbers that youposition on the foreheads of certain devil incarnates in theworld. Politicians, advertisers, growth mongers, celebrityseekers, CEO’s.(this paragraph possibly makes me a terrorist)

In a few more years it won’t be about economic growthat all, just plain old growth. Of carrots in polluted soil,of cattle on barren land, of optimism in dark times. Wewon’t be anything but farmers and thieves. At least artistshave long been used to begging for their supper.

In the present time it seems right to be both farmer andthief. Farm and feed the good ideas, grow some plants onyour window sill, sow some seeds in peoples minds, growa network that will get you through the future.Steal from the rich, from chain stores and supermarkets, from those too ignorant to notice, too comfortable to care. Steal technology, public space, power.

Steal and subvert. Farm and grow. And stop believing themyth that economic growth is a good thing.

In precisely seventeen secondsseventeen seconds shall surely have passed

There is no arguing with him and his marching hands

Set in his steady ways, he is our dear friend

Time, the great unbender, the ultimate renewer and ender.

Tide puller, season sender,Dweller of womb and grave

A constant repetition, a determined reminder

Yetone can hold a second and feel its weight

(pregnant) Pause

Thank you Curse youand curse you and thank you
