BUILDINGS 24, 35, 36, 81, 82 AND 83

These six buildings were added to the Frederiksen Court community in 2014. Because of this, there are a few differences in these buildings:

• Living rooms have ceiling lights so lamps do not come with the apartments.

• Flooring throughout the entire apartment is solid surface.

• Wardrobes have drawers built in them. In the other buildings, drawers are located under the beds and the wardrobes do not have drawers.

MAIL

REGULAR MAIL: Mailboxes are located inside one of the entrances of your building on the main level. You open your mailbox with your apartment key.

USPS PACKAGES: Delivered to most apartment buildings. Small packages are put in a parcel locker by the mail area and larger packages are delivered to your door.

USPS PACKAGES FOR BUILDINGS 24, 35, 36, 81, 83: Delivered to the mail desk in the Frederiksen Court Community Center.

ALL ABOUT FREDDY

FREDERIKSEN COURT COUNCIL

Kind of like your local city council, the Frederiksen Court Council is made up of Freddy residents. The group governs the community, plans events and listens to your feedback to make changes. For example, they recently worked with ISU Parking to make the Freddy lots free parking on the weekends which means your guests don’t have to worry about tickets and they can park nearby! When you move in, watch for ways to get involved and help shape your community.

• STUFF TO DO: Want to know what’s happening in Freddy? Activities are posted throughout the building with many of them held in the community center or outside on the green space. Remember to watch your email for the Frederiksen Court Connection, a newsletter that has things you need to know as well as upcoming events.

What is the Freddy Community Center? It’s the place to go for pretty much anything you need!

Living in Freddy, you can choose from a semester plan or you can build a custom plan with meal blocks and dining dollars.

SEMESTER PLANS

All five semester plans come with meals (can be used in 11 locations, including Hawthorn!) and dining dollars (can be used in all locations). A semester plan is ideal if you want to eat eight or more meals a week with us.

BUILD YOUR OWN PLAN

If you’d like to build your own plan, you can purchase Yearly Meal Blocks, Dining Dollars or a combination of both.

• MEAL BLOCKS: are like meals on a semester plan. You can use them at 11 locations (including Hawthorn!) for either all-you-care-to-dine meals or for meal bundles. Meals expire at the end of the academic year and they are sold in blocks of 25.

• DINING DOLLARS: can be purchased in any amount, can be used at all locations and there is a discount if you purchase $200 or more. They expire at the end of the academic year. Take advantage of the discount!
