Hailing from the eastern states, Barrier Reef Pools has installed in excess of 2000 pools

since opening in Perth seven years ago. This growth has prompted the company to build a local state-of-the-art factory in Perth, which will be ready in early 2015.

For the past five years, Barrier Reef Pools has been the most awarded fibreglass pool builder (SPASA Awards of Excellence) with more than 40 state awards, and several at national level.

Barrier Reef Pools believes its point of difference is three-fold. Firstly, it does not employ

subcontractors or outsource the installation of its swimming pools. All work is carried out by

its own team of highly trained employees.Secondly, Barrier Reef Pools are constructed

beyond Australian standards. It is the only fibreglass pool builder in Australia to

earn the ‘Five Tick’ Standards Mark. Finally, every pool is personally projectmanaged, and the customer has a single point of contact

throughout the process, from selection of the design, through to installation and landscaping (if required).

Despite being recognised with various awards, Barrier Reef Pools is not one to rest on its laurels,

and is constantly investing in new moulds, with a modern range of geometric styles.

For personalised service and an emphasis on quality pools, visit one of Barrier Reef Pools’ display

centres in Wangara, O’Connor or Mandurah.

Dior on the big screenTo celebrate the release of fashion film Dior And I, Luna Palace Cinemas hosted an opening night soiree that saw hordes of gorgeous Vivien’s models fill the front row seats. The film itself is a charming, dedicated biopic by filmmaker Frédéric Tcheng – most famous for his last stylish flick Valentino: The Last Emperor. In his latest gem, viewers get to enter the storied world that is the House of Christian Dior with a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of designer Raf Simons’ first haute couture collection for the label. Beautifully melding the everyday, pressure-filled components of the fashion industry with an elegant reverence for the history of Dior, Tcheng’s colourful homage to the seamstresses of the atelier is nothing short of magical. Nadja Cachiakokov‘Dior And I’ screens at Luna Leederville, Luna Outdoor and Camelot Outdoor.

‘Big Eyes’ big on sentimentWhen I first heard the term ‘Big Eyes’ bandied about at this year’s Oscars, with the camera turning to capture a bug-eyed but demure Amy Adams, I thought it was some tasteless in-joke I’d initially missed out on hearing. I certainly hadn’t heard of the biopic that stars Adams as modern artist Margaret Keane, famous for her paintings that depicted children with, yes, very big eyes. I was, however, familiar with Keane’s work, having seen it on just about every wall growing up – in mine and my siblings’ bedrooms, in the living rooms of mum’s friends, even in doctor’s and dentist’s waiting rooms. Little did I know then that so much controversy was attached to these artworks (or gilded reproductions by the time they got to suburban North Perth); that Keane had indeed been forced by her controlling husband to keep her artistic identity an intense secret while he took all the glory for her work – and most of the profits. The film co-stars Christoph Waltz as the horrid svengali in question, with Walter Keane portrayed as the best – and worst – salesman ever. Best, because his sly charm saw him getting away with the huge lie for over a decade. Worst – well, you’ve just got to see how scary Waltz gets when his charm dissolves into sadistic violence; it’s as horrible as some of cinema’s more iconic villains including The Shining’s Jack Torrance and The Dark Knight’s Joker. The poster art for Big Eyes paints the perfect metaphor for this film, whose premise is so twisted, the audience is left wondering if it’s for real. In the poster, Waltz (as Walter) holds a portrait of Adams (as Margaret) who holds a painting of one of her famous big-eyed waifs. The con artist framing the genuine artist in the cleverest art of deception. Adams is perfect at playing the petrified Margaret, who eventually breaks out of her wishy-washy role to vilify her conman of a spouse. The actress has played both trophy wife (Enchanted; American Hustle) and strong independent woman (Man Of Steel; Night At The Museum: Battle Of The Smithsonian). It was only a matter of time before she got to throw herself into a role with dichotomous qualities of both the feminine and feminist kind. As for Waltz, he’s danced through his share of creepy roles, from Django Unchained’s king hick Dr Schultz to The Zero Theorem’s eerie Qohen Leth and the most obscure of German TV villains. But far be it for his role in Big Eyes to be a simple matter of typecasting. The actor goes beyond adding ‘ just another nasty character’ to his CV and instead screeches full-pelt down the halls of Cinema’s Most Horrible Monsters. Indeed, I wouldn’t be surprised if a few folk go dressed as the dubious Walter Keane for Halloween this year. Antonino Tati‘Big Eyes’ is in cinemas nationally.

The sheer beauty of Bentley

The future of Bentley is looking very bright indeed with two brand new models on the horizon. The first glimpse of this exciting new outlook was the unveiling of the EXP 10 Speed concept, at the Salon International De L’Auto 2015 in Geneva. In the words of CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer, this automobile is a “futuristic vision of a lean, muscular and agile two-seat Bentley sports car”. A vision of power, agility and grace, Bentley’s first ever hybrid sports car will be powered by sustainable technol-ogy and the EXP 10 Speed 6 epitomises the innovative think-ing of Bentley design whilst staying true to its refined love of bespoke craftsmanship.

The brief for Bentley design director Luc Donckerwolke and his talented team of designers was to create a Bentley sports car, a driver’s car that expresses modern luxury, is emotionally charged yet complements the rest of our contemporary model family. In the inspiration portfolio is a picture of Daniel Craig

as 007, and the purist, cohesive in form, yet beautifully primal car is exactly what this Bond would be driving.

At the opposite end of the scale in the much nearer future is the Bentley Bentayga. To be unveiled to the world for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2015 and available for sale from early 2016, the new pinnacle SUV embodies the sophistication expected in a Bentley automobile, whilst offering an impressive combination of on-and-off –road performance. Powered by the iconic W12 engine that defines Bentley and to this day is still manufactured in Crewe, the luxury vehicle offers a combination of refinement, efficiency and responsiveness. Completely customisable to customer specifications it is in a class with no other. These two models alone show how far in the future Bentley is casting its eye and will surely cement our place as the world’s most sought-after luxury car brand.

Meanwhile Bentley’s full model line-up is still being chosen by discerning owners from all over the globe, from the freeways of America to the cities of China, while the prestigious company, founded by W. O. Bentley, continues to set new sales records.

Chellingworth Bentley are excited for the future of the brand and, as the only Bentley Dealer for Western Australia, will continue to bring the best and latest to discerning clients. Indeed, Chellingworth is moving the same way as W. O. Bentley: that is looking forward, not back. ▫ Keely Jackson

A f lourishing business

So far as self-fulfilling prophecies go, Fleur Marron couldn’t have veered into a more moniker-inspired career than floral preservation. Her obvious (and pretty) first name aside, she has a surname that connotes the art of preservation (a ‘marron’ being a Spanish chestnut specially preserved in vanilla flavoured syrup, yum!). Flowers and preservation. Meet Fleur Marron: designer of preserved flora, whose business ‘Stem & Stamen’ is really beginning to bloom. Lisa Andrews

Stem & Stamen - it’s a clever name for a floral busi-ness. In fact I’m surprised I haven’t seen it before.Thank you, I don’t try to be clever. When naming Stem & Stamen I wanted to make sure it would represent what the business stood for: to tell people we’re in the science of preserving flora.

How long have you been preserving flora? This is a recent venture. My background is in busi-ness development within the renewable energy and environmental sciences sector. I searched for four years for a product that I could introduce that was both innovative and sustainable.

Did any of your study or work history help shape the business?I have a self-taught visual arts background, and have had annual exhibitions, so these helped with my inter-est in design and the environment. I’m by no means a florist; the products take care of themselves. I like working with florists, though – and designers and architects – because they always shine a new light on the products; I see things I’ve not realised before.

One of the main advantages of preserving flora is it lasts longer than natural flowers ever could. What are some of the other benefits? The flora requires no water, and the installations are light [in weight]. My customers are always amazed by how light and textural the products are. This means you can create amazing ceiling and wall installations. The other great thing is you can incorporate words in the creations, which is an innovative way in branding for commercial clients. The green walls I’m develop-ing at the moment even have acoustic and air filtra-tion properties.

What is a recent career highlight for you? A recent client I designed for was The Mediterranean Kitchen. The function stands out simply because the customer I worked with was so inspiring. She could draw ties to opera and to medieval themes when she looked at the arrangements I was creating, and I really appreciated that. I enjoy working with people who see the cultural and historical significance of each creation.

Is it true that a woman will always forgive a man, no matter what he’s done, so long as he brings her flowers? I think flowers and foliage should be bought as a reminder of how joyful life can be, and how magnif-icent nature’s gifts are.

And what are three of your favourite blooms, designed by nature and now emulated by you? The rose, the hydrangea, the orchid. ▫

High artNicole Kidman is the face of Etihad Airways’ new ‘Flying Reimagined’ campaign, stylishly promoting not only the airline but the soon-to-be-opened Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi.MoveTo looks at the benefits of having a Hollywood high-flyer lend her face to a brand.

COVER STORY

15

It’s not the first time Nicole Kidman has been paid a packet to promote a luxury product. In fact, she’s done it plenty of times before – for classic fragrance Chanel No. 5, trusty wrist-wear label Omega, high-end vitamin brand Swisse, and to-die-for shoe designer Jimmy Choo.

Now Etihad Airways has announced Kidman as ambassador for its flashy new flagship Airbus A380, with the actress set to feature in 60- and 30-second TV commercials, as well as across print, digital and outdoor advertising.

The advertisements were all shot on board the new Airbus in various locations around the world, including a digitally created scene of Kidman in the interior of the soon-to-be-opened Louvre in Abu Dhabi.

The Middle East’s answer to Paris’ grand museum was designed by celebrated architect Jean Nouvel and can best be described as a futuris-tic, awe-inspiring representation of modern architecture.

Nouvel says he was influenced “by the light and geometric patterns of the Emirate”, doing a clever job at expressing the luxury aspects of the Etihad brand while possibly neglecting to realise he’d namedropped the company’s main competitor.

The TVC was created by London-based production firm Thomas and Thomas and shot by cinematographer Daniel Landin, who has made music videos for the Rolling Stones, David Bowie and Madonna, as well as TV and cinema commercials for leading global brands.

So, back to the power of branding. We all know it’s good business for global businesses to turn to international superstars to plug their services and wares. Celebrities and authoritative figures have been selling products for centuries. And there have been some fairly insane product endorsements by historic folk.

In the late 1800s, Pope Leo XIII endorsed a cocaine-laced wine called Vin Mariani, a predecessor to Coca-Cola that had been developed by a French chemist. Little did the holy one realise that the surprisingly addictive beverage would attract such admirers as Ulysses S. Grant, Thomas Edison, Jules Verne and even Queen Victoria.

On the other side of the Atlantic, Theodore Roosevelt used his polit-ical standing to promote Fox Shotguns, describing the company’s buck-shot launcher as “the most beautiful gun I have ever seen”.

And in more recent times, ex-Russian president Mikhail Gorbachev posed for luxury luggage label Louis Vuitton, photographed driving by the Berlin Wall, duffle bag by his side, not long after pushing Pizza Hut to the Russian people (seriously, you’ve got to Google that Pizza Hut ad).

Despite initial hesitancies in signing up to endorse commercial products, most celebrities end up biting the bullet and pushing brands for the sake of the big bucks. Well, not only for the money itself, but for the credibility it lends them. Far be it for a Hollywood superstar to be so egotistical as to not relate to their audience. Indeed, they ache to come down a peg or two and be seen using, buying, eating, flying the same products and services as their fans and admirers. It’s what makes them human – along with their Twitter account and the occasional selfie with the kids at Disneyland.

“I still get excited about getting on a plane,” said Nicole Kidman in a Channel Ten interview recently, adding that she still gets butterflies whenever she flies despite her jet-setting lifestyle.

For the record, there is another, albeit little-known, advertisement that Nicole Kidman appears in, one we’re sure the star would love to see taken down from the world wide web. It was shot for Schweppes back in 2009, created for the dichotomous markets of France and India.

In the ad, Nicole takes off her dress and runs toward a bottle of soft drink and a little girl – played by nine-year-old Rubina Ali of Slumdog Millionaire fame. While there is a look in the girl’s eyes that connotes a sense of awe, as though she’s thinking “Wow, pretty white lady”, you could be forgiven for thinking it is an expression of shock. That someone as elusive as Nicole – so sophisticatedly portrayed in all previous luxury ad campaigns – would ever deign to drink anything as street as Schweppes.

Naturally, sales of Schweppes Agrum soared that year in both France and India. Such is the push of a glamorous Hollywood power-house. ▫ Antonino Tati

Kylie proves her broad audience appeal... only justI’ve seen Kylie Minogue perform live three times prior to her recent Kiss Me Once tour. Each of those times I’d thoroughly enjoyed her performance, but left just before final encore to beat the audience exit (note: not because I was bored… in fact, far from it).

This time, for my fourth Kylie Live experience, I thought I’d bring along a member of the next generation – my nine-year-old niece Sienna – to see what she made of all of Ms Minogue’s song, dance, smoke and mirrors. To Sienna, I’m pretty certain Kylie stood as some kind of yesteryear icon who just cut it occasionally with a hit here and there. A bit like Cher seemed to me during my childhood: larger than life, but not quite trending.

Still, my niece said she did like Kylie as a judge on The Voice and that she once heard All The Lovers on the radio and enjoyed it, though she’d never heard of The Locomotion (“Is it some sort of crazy dance?”).

True to form, Kylie put on an awesome spectacle. So far as lighting and visuals go, this was one of the best productions I’ve seen in a long time – even beating the grand likes of Muse and Coldplay (yet not quite managing to surpass U2’s more serious, dramatic effects).

The delivery of the music itself was passable, although I believe the engineer could have lowered the bass a little on occasion so that we could hear our favourite singing budgie some-what clearer. When Kylie did hit a high note, though, you heard it well, and you actually had to pinch yourself wondering if part of it was pre-recorded. Alas, the majority of her singing was live, so yes, I was impressed.

Sienna didn’t say much about the grand spectacle (ah, the desensitisation of the current generation) but she did make interesting comments about the videos, mainly about some of the luxury brands that filled the big screen. That she was more excited with the fact Kylie was riding around in a Rolls Royce in one clip, rather than take issue with the diva’s grinding in the back seat of said vehicle made me wonder where our next generation’s attention and concerns lie.

Interestingly, too, when Kylie delivered a medley of her late-’80s hits, with she and her dancers dollied up in primary colours as though they’d taken a leaf out of Katy Perry’s colour-ing-in book, Sienna wasn’t too impressed. It was only when things turned paired-back and matte black for Sexercize that the young one began to get into the groove again. A reaction at odds with someone so young, but it does show you what the antics of Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus have done to the minds and expectations of our youth.

My highlights of the production? 01: The constant action on stage, albeit with the help of some rather taut dancers. 02: Kylie’s non-patronisation to a broadly aged audience. 03: The inclusion of a cover of INXS’s Need You Tonight, paid as tribute to and fond memory of the diva’s relationship with singer Michael Hutchence. 04: The special appearance of disco king Giorgio Moroder for a seemingly impromptu rendition of his hit I Feel Love (originally sung by Donna Summer and delivered impressively by Kylie). 05: The influence of visuals from various art movements including Dalí-esque surrealism and Mondrian-like graphic design. All up, a non-stop bright and colourful affair.

This time, I didn’t care to beat the audience exit onslaught. Instead, it was my niece who suggested we leave early to beat the crowd and traffic. Whether she’d simply had enough of the Kylie show I didn’t dare ask but she did wonder twice during the performance “how long” we had to go. It made me think that all the song, dance, stunning visuals and excess lighting can do nothing to impress the next generation.

But then, Sienna does look up to Kanye and Kim as the king and queen of popular culture, so what else could I expect but nonchalance? ▫

REVIEW

Page 18: MoveTo Magazine 01

18

A while ago I was at an opening night for the indie film Chef and noted that the PR girl had done a dandy job in tying the food- and drink-serving in with the film’s main subject – that being one of food trucks.

Guests clamoured around tough-looking, rustic trucks for a bite to eat and a bevvy – one serving Mexican nosh, another dishing out delicious tapas, a third whipping up salted caramel ice-cream. The only problem was, the queue to each truck was so long, by the time you got your nachos and a soy latte, it was time to enter the cinema…

Should the clever PR girl (kudos to you Adriana from Anarchy) be running a similar pre-movie party today, she’d have a lot more food truck businesses to choose from – the phenomenon has grown that much in a matter of months.

At Perth’s recent Fringe World Festival and Light Up Leederville Carnival, food trucks packed the streets bumper to bumper, while also being tested in such hip hubs as Mount Lawley and Highgate.

With its roots in New York City, the food truck phenomenon is currently spreading fast across the globe. These ‘roaming restaurants’, previously only associated with music festivals and footy matches, have now become exciting destinations in themselves. Head to a local celebration like the Beaufort Street Festival, and you’d be as keen to know what restau-rants will be setting up shop – or truck – in the area as you would which bands will play live.

Food trucks serve their food fast, but they don’t have the stigma associated with fast food franchises – mainly due to their focusing on a specialty cuisine

(Authentic Mexican, Traditional Italian, Asian Fusion), often adopting kosher ingredients (organic, halal, gluten-free), and not looking like hundreds of simi-larly branded outlets the world over (take that KFC!).

Food truck operators, who often double up as the truck’s head chef, take their food as seriously as any judge on Masterchef would. He or she has too – because the competition is vast, and today’s culinary consumer knows way too many kitchen tricks to be duped into buying a cheesy inferior of what they’ve seen in traditional restaurants or on the telly.

Far be it, though, for these new food operators to serve a humble hot dog and chips. It’s gourmet all the way for these chefs. From bite-size snacks with a la carte-type names to exotic desserts that’ll put Mr Whippy to shame, variety and multicultural tastes are the main name of the new food truck game. ▫

Image from ‘Food Truck Feasts’ by Erika Budiman, published by Hardie Grant Publishing and available through Random House, RRP $34.95.

Poshfast foodFor all the talk of healthy eating being bandied about, fast food is as popular as ever – and we have two phenomena to thank for this: Masterchef, and fast food trucks. Antonino Tati takes another bite from his gourmet taquito before investigating…

As a fringe inner suburb of Perth, Wembley has for too long been ignored in Perth’s enthusiastic move to apartment living, leaving it ripe with amazing loca-tions, such as Urban on Cambridge. This fantastic new development belongs in the Town of Cambridge, home to fantastic walking areas such as Lake Monger and

Perry Lakes Reserve along with the coastline at your fingertips.  Now, for the first time in over a decade, you have the opportunity to purchase a brand new apartment in an area overflowing with café and dining options, as well as retail and entertainment precincts.

Situated less than five kilometres from the heart of Perth, this development makes the perfect loca-tion for those looking for a city lifestyle without the crowds. Floreat Beach and City Beach are only five kilometres away, placing Urban on Cambridge halfway between city and surf, meaning you never have to choose which is more important, as living at Urban on Cambridge means you can have both.

of this calibre, all apartments come with many high quality features and finishes as standard. Floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall windows and sliding doors, stone bench-tops, floor coverings, air-condition-ing and secure parking are just some of these features, ensuring all you need to do is buy the right furniture! Urban on Cambridge prices start from $460,000 and present quality European style appliances, premium quality floor coverings and wall tiling. Easily accessed from your secure undercover parking via two lifts, each apartment is a display of luxury and comfort with reverse cycle, split system air-conditioning and ample lighting.

With inner-city living in her sights, teacher Bree Mulder opted for a two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment in the Urban on Cambridge development being built by QUBE Property Group.

“I love Wembley for its location – it’s near the beach and the city – and I love the lifestyle that’s emerging with places such as The Stanley wine bar and Flipside Burgers,” says thirty-year-old Ms Mulder of her future home.

After travelling the world, Ms Mulder decided a funky Wembley apartment would make the perfect new home.

“Buying off the plan was the ideal solution for me as I know everything will be sorted and there will be nothing for me to do except move in.“

The suggestion came from one of Ms Mulder’s work colleagues, who had bought an apartment at Urban on Cambridge as an investment.

“He suggested I look at the development and as it turned out it offered everything I was looking for,” Ms Mulder said. “Making the decision to buy now, off the plan, also meant I only had to pay a deposit to secure the apartment I wanted at today’s price.”

Along with sound investment, QUBE have paid careful consid-eration to the environmental impact of the apartment construction, implementing environmentally sound initiatives from conception to construction and beyond. Urban on Cambridge has been created as a building which impacts less on the environment and more on your lifestyle. Solar power supplements power usage in common areas, with motion sensors and LED lights present in selected zones. With Perth’s increasing dry climate, smart water was top of the list in creating a sustainable development. Water wise initi-atives will be incorporated into the building, such as efficient taps, showers, toilets, appliances and even localised hot water systems for minimal waste.

BILCO X MOVE TO

‘We begin with the end in mind’, is the ethos of Australian owned modular construction company, Bilco, a code which allows them to give clients the best results in their construc-tion projects. Their commitment to commencing a streamlined process, discovering client expectations and vision, result in outstanding efficiency, innovation and value outcomes. By listening attentively to the exact needs of every client and having developed a strong background of experience, means Bilco understands, every client is an individual. Engaging their experienced and professional design team is the first step of the building process, in which their client’s vision becomes a

practical and unique building development. From the first steps, through to the very last, design process

through to shire development approval, Bilco ensures regular communication with clients. Through each stage, from working drawings, addressing compliance requirements and bring-ing together interior and external colours and materials, they actively engage in regularly delivered progress reports. With regular updates clients are able to know exactly what stage their construction is at, giving them confidence milestones are being achieved as scheduled, and thus giving them the ability to make decisions in advance, well aware of the road ahead.

Providing a comprehensive, accurate costing and construc-tion timeline, once the design and approval process of the development is completed, a fixed price contract can be agreed on. Once the streamlined process begins, the scheduling and construction phase can flow without the need to pause for further plans or approvals. Consistently producing a superior development in a time-frame envied by competitors, Bilco’s success comes down to simple forward planning, detail orien-tated organisation and a team of experienced professionals.

Modular Construction’s FinestDelivering the Highest Expectations

Page 25: MoveTo Magazine 01

25

What is Unitised Construction?Modular or unitised construction is the way of

the future, allowing for segments of buildings to be pre-built off-site in a controlled, secure environment. Once these pieces are constructed they are trans-ported to site where they are combined in order to quicken construction, resulting in better value for money. Being constructed off-site, in a controlled environment, means each segment has been paid the highest level of workmanship by an experienced team, with the minimum of waste.

Real SavingsBuilding segments in a controlled factory environ-

ment cuts construction time massively, resulting in a shorter delivery timeframe. It also results in building products and resources being used more efficiently, equating to less waste and lower cost.

QualityA majority of builders in Australia rely on varied

tradespeople whom subcontract out to many different companies. This results in different people, different companies, all with varying standards and expecta-tions, making consistency in building methods difficult. With a full time team of dedicated tradespeople, all of whom are highly skilled and sharing Bilco’s commit-ment to delivering the same high quality on every project, the company has a reputation for consistency.

Sustainable and Energy Efficient Producing energy efficient buildings is an inte-

gral part of Bilco’s core strategy. The more energy efficient processes and products integrated into the design, the more comfortable clients will be in the future. It is intelligent design, appreciating both saving the world’s resources while saving clients a fortune in energy costs.

Upon most building sites, almost 18% of the total material used in the building process is wasted and ultimately disposed of as landfill. This process is damaging in every aspect, however Bilco’s controlled, and off-site construction methods ensure anything left over from one build will be used or recycled for the next project. This controlled building method simultaneously reduces the carbon footprint asso-ciated with every home produced and helps Bilco to take responsibility locally and internationally for our environment.

Versatile and DurableSkilled design and clever configuration mean

buildings constructed by Bilco are dynamic and can be customised to meet the most discerning clients. From homes to apartments their developments are built to last. Robust, strong and practical, all projects exceed Australian building and design compliance requirements. Aesthetically, they are elegant and can be customised using an array of cladding and finishes to capture the exact feel a client desires.

Bilco’s secret formula to success is simple, they love what they do. Sharing the highest expectations of their clients, they deliver on all projects the same care and diligence they would of their own projects. This ensures clients can be supremely confident in receiving value, quality and speed when using Bilco for their next construction project.

Call them today for a coffee and a chat, and let the experienced staff at Bilco share with you the amazing benefits of engaging them. ▫

EXCLUSIVE RESIDENCE X MOVE TO

The SiamBringing together styles of the East and West in a seamless, timeless creation of luxury and charm, the Siam is a classic example of Exclusive Residence’s expertise and attention to detail. Interior living areas blend with outdoor courtyards and balconies, in a resi-dence providing warm, private areas as well as stun-ning entertainment zones. Designed to reflect a subtle Thai influence, the Siam is an artistic and contemporary representation of modern Australian living. Attention has been paid to allow the merging of indoor and outdoor enter-tainment areas. The home features a large, internal al fresco, which contains a well-equipped European styled kitchen, wood fired oven and which connects to a 5,000 bottle cellar. Clearly a home built for enter-tainment, the Siam also caters for the family, with luxuriously appointed suites, with the master sepa-rated on the second floor ensuring complete privacy from the rooms below. The dark coloured Blackbutt flooring, which required eight layers of staining and then final sealing to ensure long lasting lustre, provides a dramatic statement against the pale and cool styling. A garden sanctuary, complete with ponds and stepping stones, filled with Frangipani trees completes the setting for a perfect example of blended influences and classic charm..▫

The DalkeithCombining the warmth of a family home with rich, contemporary styling, Exclusive Residence’s home, the Dalkeith presents a merging of elegance and practicality. Featuring cedar ceilings through the alfresco entertain-ment areas, gone are the days of heavy fly screens shutting out the world and instead exists the unification of indoor and outdoor living areas. The wood theme is continued throughout the home, with Blackbutt timber flooring and timber joinery forming the custom architraves and skirting. Even from the moment of setting eyes on the Dalkeith a sense of welcom-ing and style is predominant, with a hand laid Kimberly stone façade accen-tuated by carefully considered external lighting. Luxury is not complete without the best in modern technology to make life that much easier. Ready for entertainment, the kitchen is fitted out with the latest and best in European appliances, allowing the best use of the stone bench tops. Ducted vacuuming runs throughout the upper and lower floors and with structured cabling run throughout residences, life is made that much easier meaning you have more time to enjoy living in your new home. The Dalkeith and the Siam displays just a snippet of the choices, possibil-ities and options customers have when engaging Exclusive Residence’s award winning team. When it comes to building your home, don’t go for a building which you will need to adapt to, have one tailor made for your lifestyle and needs. Allow Exclusive Residence to exceed your expecta-tions and give you the home you not only need, but the home you deserve.

Panoramic River ViewsAn exclusive new residence in Mosman Park makes its markThree boxes are immediately checked when you view the residence at 22 Bay View Terrace, Mosman Park.

Location? Check (like, as if you need us to rave of the suburb’s impeccable reputation). Space? Check, check (the property is palatial to the point of double-penthouse aesthetic). Amenities? Check, check, check (and we could just keep on ticking since are so many of them).

This exclusive brand-new residence is built to the highest specifications, complete with stunning river views, and distance of only a few hundred metres walk to the river, to private schools, tennis courts and yacht clubs.

Each room is of perfect palatial proportion and cleverly separated. Each of the four bedrooms feature their own ensuite bathroom, meaning no fighting over who gets to use what mirror space and for how long.

Continuing with the clever separation theme, the study-come-office space in 22 Bay View features separate access, making it perfect for home business.

From foundation to roof tiling, only the best mate-rials have been incorporated including imported marbles and exotic timbers.

The home is finished to the highest standard,

boasting a natural oak kitchen complete with stone benches by Italian outfitters Effeti and stainless steel appliances by Miele.

And then there are the views… While the enor-mous French doors and two separate balconies offer the most splendid views of picture-perfect Swan River, you into thinking you were staring out at a vista in Sydney’s Rushcutters Bay or San Francisco’s infa-mous Bay Area.

With all the mod cons, including lift allowing easy access to all levels, air conditioning and alarm system throughout, this home is to be sold with all display furniture which will allow you to move straight in. ▫
