The first units of carbodies, bogies and propulsion system were manufactured at production facilities in Europe, with subsequent units produced at Bombardier’s site in Savli, Vadodara. Key elements of the complete design were done locally in India. This project used a design approach that enabled a high degree of localisation and transfer of technology processes.
These high capacity vehicles feature advanced technologies, such as stainless steel carbodies, and the reliable BOMBARDIER* MITRAC* propulsion and control
