Filming Techniques and Angles
Produced By Mr Smith
Extreme Long Shot
• This is a shot that has been taken from a long way away. This is used for setting the big picture of where the movie is set.
Long Shot• This is a shot of a person and most of the
closer surroundings behind them. This technique sets the exact area of where you are filming.
Medium Shot
• This usually has someone from their knee height up and is used when people are chatting between each other
Close up
• This focuses just on the persons face or a particular piece of scenery that is needed to be shown to the audience.
Extreme Close Up
• This is used for getting in really close. For looking at possibly just the persons smile, or just a very small object that is hard to see with just your eyes.
