5 Steps To A Strategic PlanHow Are We Doing?
According to Forbes …
• 1. Determine where you are.• 2. Identify what’s important• 3. Define what you must achieve• 4. Determine who is accountable• 5. Review. Review. Review. (It’s never over.)
![Page 14: Moving Forward: A Process of Implementing the ASCA 3.0 Model](https://reader035.vdocument.in/reader035/viewer/2022062521/568168b8550346895ddf98a9/html5/thumbnails/14.jpg)
1. Choose our 4 Main Goals (Easy … ASCA’s 4 Program Components)
2. Review & Learn the ASCA National 3.0 Model Compare it to our existing GF Counseling Program
3. Assess our strengths and weaknesses by using the Program Audit
4. Under each MAIN GOAL …Identify gaps & ASCA “Criteria” needed
5. Under each CRITERIA – Brainstorm ideas and activities
6. Sort it all out: Organize, Prioritize, and Set a TIMELINE of activities

![Page 21: Moving Forward: A Process of Implementing the ASCA 3.0 Model](https://reader035.vdocument.in/reader035/viewer/2022062521/568168b8550346895ddf98a9/html5/thumbnails/21.jpg)
Garnering Support Continued (Year 2)
1) All counselors should be delivering core curriculum to ALL students.
2) Based on our School Profiles (data collection) generated last year, each counselor will be working on at least one “closing the gap” goal this year. They will also collect data once the goal is implemented. Results reports will be written and given to their principal upon completion. These goals are focused around achievement, attendance or behavior and are data driven.
3) Each counselor will complete an annual agreement with their principal in the first 2 months which will include their goal/s.
4) GFPS Counselors will be able to show you how they make a difference with students through sharing their results reports!
