Education Act amended in 2011 to focus TETFUnd on the

development and rehabilitation of infrastructure in public tertiary institutions in line with the original concept

Source of funding is through a 2% Education Tax levied on assessable profit of all registered companies in Nigeria

TETFund is the key agency for actualizing the 4-Year Strategic Plan Focal Area on Funding, Partnerships, Resource Mobilization and Utilization. Its roles include

Receives funds through the Federal Inland Revenue Service as provided in the Education Tax Act, 2011

Manages the funds

Disburses the funds to beneficiary institutions

Monitors the utilization of funds

Assess utilization to ensure value for money
