1. All work performed shall be in strict compliance with governingfederal, state, and local building code requirements, disability actregulations, executed in accordance with accepted industrystandards and shall conform to specific regulations as mandated bythe owner, the tenant, and the architect.

2. Refer to technical specifications for additional requirements.

3. The Contractors shall investigate, verify and be responsible forall conditions of the project and shall notify the Architect of anyconditions requiring modifications or any discrepancies between thedrawings and existing conditions prior to proceeding with work.

4. Contractor shall protect all in place construction, landscaping,paving, utilities, etc., from damage during construction. All damagedconstruction, paving, landscaping, etc., to be restored to originalcondition.

5. Notes appear on various sheets for different systems andconstruction material. All sheets are to be reviewed and notes onany one sheet are to be applied to all related drawings and details.

6. Details not shown are similar in character to those detailed.Where specified dimensions, details or design intent cannot bedetermined, consult the Architect prior to proceeding with the work.

7. Do not scale drawings.

8. Should any conflict occur between, MEP, FP, Structural andArchitectural drawings, Architectural drawings shall supersede allothers. Contractor shall notify Architect immediately for interpretation.

9. Partitions are dimensioned to the center of stud walls or faceof C.M.U. walls unless noted otherwise.

10. All dissimilar metals shall be effectively isolated from eachother to avoid molecular breakdown.

11. Refer to Plumbing Drawings for locations of all floor drains,trench drains, sumps and subsoil drainage unless noted otherwise.

12. All penetrations of ductwork, conduit, piping and similar workthrough fire rated assemblies shall be sealed to maintain the ratingof the assembly with a UL approved material.

13. See Structural Drawings for exact location size and thickness ofall structural elements.

14. A finish or Fire rating indication on a wall shall mean theentire length of wall is to be finished or Fire rated as indicated.

15. General Contractor shall coordinate all equipment base andhousekeeping pads with Mechanical, Plumbing and Electricalcontractors. Equipment base and housekeeping pads to be aminimum of 4" high and to be installed beneath the projected areaof equipment.

GENERAL NOTES

16. General contractor shall coordinate all mechanical and electricalfloor and wall sleeves and all mechanical shafts with mechanical,plumbing, fire protection, electrical, structural and architecturaldrawings.

17. Construction of work indicated on the drawings as (NIC) is notincluded in this contract. Subsequent drawings and specifications willbe submitted for separate approval or this work will be completed byothers outside this scope of work.

18. Coordinate placement of all ceiling elements with mechanical,electrical and fire protection installer. Where discrepancies existbetween drawings and installation, consult the architect prior toproceeding.

19. All material quantities shall be coordinated with architectural,civil, structural, MEP & FP drawings and shall not be limited to anysingle discipline.

20. All switches and controls for lights, heat, ventilation, windowtreatments, fire alarms, and all similar controls of frequent oressential use shall be placed within reach for individuals inwheelchairs as required by the Georgia Accessibility code.

21. Omissions from the drawings, specifications or the details ofwork which is customarily performed, shall not relieve the contractorfrom performing such omitted or mis-described details of the work.All work shall be performed as fully and correctly as set forth anddescribed in the drawings and specifications.

22. Subcontractors bidding this project should carefully review allpages of the plans. Items under their sub-trade may be denotedon sheets other than those specifically marked C, A, S, M, FP, E or P.General contractor should insure that subcontractors review completesets of drawings.

23. The contractor shall coordinate all portions of the work asdescribed in the construction documents.

24. These construction documents are the exclusive property ofMcCall and Associates, Inc. Any reproduction, modification, disclosureand/or use of these materials (or any portion of them) withoutMcCall and Assoc. prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

25. The contractor and all subcontractors shall visit the site, reviewthe contract documents, permit requirements and become thoroughlyfamiliar with the conditions of this site prior to submitting a bid.

26. The contractor shall provide the following items: 1) Transition strips where all dissimilar floor finishes meet. 2) Blocking for all items to be anchored or secured to walls,

floors and ceilings. 3) Conceal all piping & conduit in walls, floors, above ceilings,

etc.

27. All permits must be at the job site at all times during ongoingconstruction.

28. This project must be supervised by the contractor's personnelat all times.

29. The general contractor shall bear the full responsibility andcosts for the following: a. Temporary power and utilities. B. Trash removal. C. Liability and workman's compensation insurance.

30. All connectors and fasteners that are in contact with pressuretreated wood must be at least g185 hot dipped galvanized.
