6. When Turning in PapersSet on top corner of desk to your left.

Pass the papers to the front. This does not involve talking.

7. When “Packing up for points”Put your name on your paper(s) and also label all papers with the

correct assignment number. Mr. Champion will come around and record points. This is how you earn daily points! This time is also

spent summarizing what we did in class that day.

8. When Playing a Pairs Game or working in pairsBegin on Teacher Signal.Stay with your partner.

9. When Playing a Team GameAll Team Members must meet at assigned area with game pieces

within one minute of Teacher Signal.All Team Members must be facing toward the center of the group

and participating to receive full points for a correct answer. Use “10 inch voices,” please!

Show answer only when Teacher says, “Show Me the Answer.”

10. When Working in Small GroupsEveryone faces the group's center.

11. When You Need to Sharpen Your PencilRaise your hand and ask if this is a good time to

sharpen your pencil. Do not interrupt teacher when he is talking to ask.

You may quietly get out of your seat and sharpen your pencil if this is during a work period with permission only.

12. When You are Absent Check the Assignment Box near the door for the

days you missed.Remove all packets with your name on it.

Some labs will need to be made up before/afterschool. Turn in make up work for credit.

Keep body “square” to table. No talking is permitted. (Even to borrow something. Ask the teacher!)

Turn Quizzes over and wait quietly.Tests may be turned in when you are finished. Raise your hand and

wait patiently for teacher with questions about the test or quiz.You must be sure that nothing is showing from your notebook!

Cheaters get zeros!

17. Fire DrillsLine up at door quickly and quietly. Bring your

purse and any valuables. You can leave your backpack.

Follow teacher to the designated location.Stay with teacher.

18. Lunch Lunch is during 4th/5th period. Your 4th/5th period teacher

will let you know when lunch is. This room has B lunch which starts at 10:54 a.m. on M-W and 10:43 a.m. on Th/F. All students must go to the cafeteria.

You can leave belongings, as door will be locked during lunch.

19. Cell Phones/ Electronic DevicesCell phones are expected to be turned off during

school hours. TURN THEM OFF AND PUT THEM AWAY!

If a cell phone is seen or heard by a teacher – 1st time = Teacher will ask you to put it away.

2nd time = Sent to the office to turn in.

20. TardyDo not be late to class. You have 6 minutes between classes, use

them wisely !If you enter late to class without a pass you are tardy. If you are not

seated at your desk when the bell rings you are tardy.If you are tardy, you will be sent to tardy hall for the entire class

period. If you are tardy from lunch, you will be sent for the remaining time after lunch.

21. BathroomYou will have 6 minutes between classes to use the restroom. There are restrooms attached to the room, so use them before or after. Do not disturb the class to use the

restroom. Wait until the teacher is finished with instruction, and raise your hand. When you are acknowledged, fill in the log. When you return to class, complete the

log and get back to work. You are responsible for all work missed while in the restroom.

Miscellaneous• STAY SEATED !• Do not interrupt instruction.• Leave your desk area clean. • There are no passes. If you need assistance take care of it

before school, after school or have a teacher email a request. The office, guidance or whoever will then get in touch with you.

• Get a drink in between classes. I can not give passes!• No food or drink. Put it away!• No Sleeping and no putting your head down on desk.• I am available after school for help. Let me know you are

coming so I will be available.

22. When the End-of- Period Bell RingsThe teacher dismisses class, NOT the bell!

Quietly remain seated when bell rings.When teacher dismisses the class, stand, and quietly

exit the classroom. Hand Exit Passes to the Teacher at the door.
