Research Methodology

• Sample Size : 62• Tools Used : Excel, Spss• Area : 6 Salons in chennai - K.K.Nagar,

Kodambakkam, virugambakkam, Porur, T-Nagar and Anna nagar.

• Duration of the project: Length – 3rd April 2014 to 2nd July 2014

• Techniques used: Chi square test; Correlation test; Bar chart.

• Sampling Technique: Convenient sampling technique is used.

Recommendations

• The satisfaction level of a customer for the service is independent of the price of the service.

• There is a significant relationship between the occupations of a customer and how much he/she spends monthly in GreenTrends.

• Increase price by 10% because customers are not very sensitive towards price increase.

• Introduce more combo offers and include a few regular combo offers in rate cards.

• Need to improve the GreenTrends website and facebook page.

Conclusion

The aim of the on the job training is to understand the working of a whole company and how a management with 35 – 40 people can run 200 salons all over the country. I learnt how salons are running; the marketing concepts used to increase the number of walk-ins; how pricing is done; how all the functions in a company work together to accomplish goals. Gained experience in real time environment on applying the management tools and techniques learnt in the classrooms.
