  Welcome to Mrs. Houston’s Kindergarten class. I can’t wait to learn more about you.   

 

Let me share a little about myself. This will be my 17th year teaching at Golden Oak. I have 

taught Kindergarten with joy and passion to all my students. I especially love to see how much my 

young students learn and grow throughout the year. When we get to be together at school, our 

room number will be 101. I look forward to the day we meet in person but until then we will have 

fun and learn a lot using our Chromebooks. 

 

I live in Bakersfield with my husband, Richard. We have 2 sons, Mike 39 and Vinny 27 years old. 

Mike and his wife Antwonna have given us 3 marvelous grand kids, Mason, Niki and Cannon. You will 

hear them on your ABC CD I will be giving you. Vinny and his wife Delani have one fabulous little 

girl, Thea, with a new baby coming into our world in October. Our family enjoys pot lucks, 

swimming, sports, playing board and card games. We’re looking forward to being together soon. 

Until then, we call, zoom and facetime each other, much like we will be doing. We also love to read! 

I am excited to share stories with you every day.

possible. I encourage you to be patient with yourself and your child as we navigate online learning. 

Your child is capable of amazing things and will learn the routines and procedures through patience 

and repetition.

Bienvenido a la clase de Kindergarten de la Sra. Houston. No puedo esperar para

Déjame compartir un poco sobre mí. Este será mi decimoséptimo año enseñando en Golden Oak. He 

enseñado Kindergarten con alegría y pasión a todos mis alumnos. En especial, me encanta ver cuánto 

aprenden y crecen mis jóvenes estudiantes durante el año. Cuando estemos juntos en la escuela, 

nuestro número de salón será 101. Espero con ansias el día en que nos reunamos en persona, pero 

hasta entonces nos divertiremos y aprenderemos mucho usando nuestros Chromebooks. 

 

Vivo en Bakersfield con mi esposo, Richard. Tenemos 2 hijos, Mike 39 y Vinny de 27 años. Mike y su 

esposa Antwonna nos han dado 3 maravillosos nietos, Mason, Niki y Cannon. Los escucharás en el CD 

del abecedario que le daré. Vinny y su esposa Delani tienen una niña fabulosa, Thea, con un nuevo 

bebé que llegará a nuestro mundo en octubre. A nuestra familia nos encanta la natación, deportes, 

juegos juveniles y juegos de cartas. Esperamos estar juntos pronto. Hasta entonces, nos llamamos,
