The Queensland Certificate of Education is the state education qualification and St Joseph’s College

expects all students to be working towards the attainment of their QCE.

Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments (AARA)

Eligibility

AARA are provided to minimise, as much as possible, barriers

for a student whose disability, impairment, medical condition or

other circumstances may affect their ability to read, respond

to or participate in assessment.

• making illness and misadventure arrangements for examinations.

How will VET be included in ATAR

• Certificate III or higher

• Each VET qualification level will have a single scaled score that can

be included in the student’s ATAR

• Certificate III Business and Certificate III Sport and Recreation will

have the same scaled score.

• A scaled score for a VET diploma will be higher than a Certificate IV,

which in turn will be higher than a Certificate III.

completion of a QCAA English Subject

(Literature, English or Essential English).
