Jackie WalorskiPlatformPart of the Republican PartyCurrently sits on the boards for House Armed Services, Veteran Affairs, and budget committeesCreating JobsCutting wasteful spendingRepeal ObamacareSupporting TroopsJackie WalorskiCreating JobsComing from a small business family, Jackie understands what it takes to run a successful small business. While serving in the State Legislature, Jackie was part of the team that supported important reforms to lower taxes and create a better environment for economic growth. This year, Elkhart County was rated first in the nation for job growth, creating hundreds of new jobs for Hoosier families. Jackie understands how to get Hoosiers back to work, and will continue to work on commonsense reforms in Washington.Jackie WalorskiCut wasteful spendingWashington is broken. With our national debt standing at nearly $17 trillion and counting, Jackie firmly believes we must put a stop to runaway spending to protect future generations and sustain a strong economy. Jackie supports a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution, a model that worked in the State of Indiana, to ensure the president and Congress live within their means and stop overspending money that we simply do not have. Jackie knows the value of a dollar, and urges Congress to pass more reforms that cut wasteful spending and hold Washington accountablekeeping more money in your wallets.Jackie WalorskiRepeal ObamacareJackie opposes the presidents health care law, otherwise known as Obamacare. So far, the health care rollout has negatively impacted the American people, who are experiencing cancelled health care plans and soaring premiumswhich President Obama promised would not happen under this law. To date, Obamacare has resulted in hundreds of job losses for small businesses, hospitals, and schools in the Second District, causing economic hardship and frustration for hardworking Hoosiers. Instead of forcing Americans to enroll in a broken system that does not address our nations health care problems, Jackie supports a step-by-step approach to improve health care and lower costs. Jackie is also focused on repealing the onerous medical device tax to protect innovation and create more good-paying jobs for this flourishing industry. Jackie WalorskiSupporting TroopsWhen our national calls, Hoosiers are the first to respond. As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, Jackie is dedicated to supporting our brave service members and their families who continue to protect and serve this country. The State of Indiana is proud to be an integral part of our national security team, and is home to key military bases and the fourth largest National Guard. Jackie believes we must continue to provide the resources and support that our military needs to carry out the mission at home and abroad, including critical support for military families. As the daughter of an Air Force veteran, Jackie remains dedicated to providing benefits and services for war heroes and their families long after they answer the call to serve. Jackie continues to fight on behalf of the nearly 53,000 veterans that live in the Second District to reduce the VA backlog and ensure quality services are readily available.Jackie Walorskihttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCc5FEJ-0INbehoXIdZ3p65w

Joe BockSpent time working as a humanitarian aid workerHas lived in Asia and the Middle East during his humanitarian work. Currently a professor at Notre Dame University training students in humanitarian relief and disaster responseSupported the Lending institution helping people who were affected by the blood diamond violence in Sierra Leone. Earned his masters in social work from the University of Missouri-Columbia and his PhD from American Universitys school of International service. Served in the Missouri legislature for six years. Currently live in South Bend, IN

Joe BockCurrently is a member of the Anti-Violence Commission in South Bend and the Safety and Security Committee of the South Bend School Corporation. Creating Jobs and Supporting a livable wageProtecting social security and MedicareVeteran affairsRestoring Faith in Congress and fixing government corruptionConcentrating on common sense solutions and balancing the budgetAffordable Care Act and ObamacareImproving access to educationImmigrationGun Rights & Second AmendmentClimate Change and Improving energy efficiencyJoe BockCreating Jobs & Supporting a Livable WageThere is no doubt that Hoosiers are hardworking people. But too often, Washington is working against middle class families. I plan to work to create stability in our economy by coming up with long-term solutions, instead of governing from crisis to crisis. Indiana small businesses are being crushed under uncertainty and burdensome regulation from Washington. Ill fight to make it easier, not harder, to start an Indiana small business and work toenhance small business tax creditsincluding credits for hiring veterans. And Ill work with local economic development officials to find ways to strengthen our small businesses and streamline regulations.

Joe BockProtecting Social Security & MedicareWe made a promise to our seniors that, if they paid into the system, they will have Social Security and Medicare benefits when they retire. We have to keep that promise. I will fight against attempts to privatize Social Security, unlike Congresswoman Walorski who has said she wants to open the door to privatization. I am concerned that privatization is a gamble, putting Social Security onto the Wall Street roller coaster.

Joe BockVeterans I will stand against any initiative designed to balance the budget on the backs of veterans. We must end the backlog at the VA to ensure access to the benefits and the care that veterans deserve. Veterans should not suffer due to the partisan bickering taking place in Congress. I will fight to ensure that no veterans or active duty members lose pay or benefits during government shutdowns.

Joe BockRestoring Faith in Congress & Fixing Government CorruptionThe games in Washington have to stop. The government shutdown, which was supported by Congresswoman Jackie Walorski, cost our economy an estimated $24 billion. And threatening to default on our debt not only hurts our bond rating, it also jeopardizes the American dollar as the preeminent world currency.Joe BockAffordable Care Act & ObamacareThe Affordable Care Act should never have been passed in such a high-pressure, rushed fashion. The problems with the initial rollout were inexcusablesomeone should have been fired for gross incompetence.Joe BockImproving access to educationThe future of our great nation begins right now by ensuring that our children have access to quality, affordable education. We must ensure that those who want to get an education have the ability to do so. Quality education should be available to all students to ensure that every child has the same opportunity regardless of socio-economic circumstances. Ill oppose efforts to cut education funding in Washington.

Joe BockImmigrationLike my church, in accordance with Catholic social teachings, I support immigration reform. We need a comprehensive and bipartisan solution. It needs to be fair to all concerned, including those who have waited to enter our country legally. Any plan I could support would require immigrants already here illegally to pass a background check. In addition, we must respect the rule of law and require that fines be paid.Joe BockGun Rights & Second AmendmentI will not take away people'sguns. I support the Second Amendment.Joe BockClimate Change & Improving Energy EfficiencyWe must reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Climate changedeniers like Congresswoman Jackie Walorski ignore or misunderstand the solid science that demonstrates our need to address climate change immediately. The deniers also plant the false idea that protecting our health and environment is somehow at odds with a strong economy, when in fact the reverse is true: Healthy Hoosiers and a strong economy go hand in hand.Joe Bockhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaxcKsJiVlbG2Iloy4SKQNA

Timothy WescoHas held office since 2010Part of the Republican partyPro-LifeMarriageLower TaxesJobsEducationSecond AmendmentTimothy WescoPro-LifeI believe that all men are endowed by their Creator with the inalienable right to life from the moment of conception. Everything that we can do on the state level must be done to protect the unborn. Every restriction, every ordinance must be enacted and enforced. I will support legislation to broaden protection for unborn Hoosiers. Abortion facilities ought to be held to the highest medical standards. Mothers should be made fully aware of the physical dangers as well as the emotional and negative side effects of abortion and should have readily available the information and support to choose life.Timothy WescoMarriageMarriages and families are the backbone of American society and are what make our country great. Marriage in America is under attack. I believe Indiana must follow in the path blazed by more than 30 other states, and allow Hoosiers to pass an Amendment to the Indiana State Constitution defining marriage as the union between one man and one woman.Timothy WescoLower TaxesI believe lower taxes and less government create economic growth. We must keep taxes low so Hoosiers can keep more of their hard earned dollars and to give entrepreneurs a greater incentive to succeed. However, we cannot lower taxes without shrinking government. We need to increase efficiency at all levels of government, from the townships to the state. I believe the best way to cut taxes is to cap and limit spending at both the state and local level.Timothy WescoJobsThe government does not exist to create jobs; Hoosier creativity and initiative create jobs. I support business-friendly tax policies and incentives to encourage Hoosier entrepreneurs to succeed. I believe in Hoosier ingenuity, and I will fight to minimize government regulations in order to attract more well-paying jobs to the 21st House District and our state.Timothy WescoEducationParents have the sacred right to raise and educate their children free from unnecessary government interference. I believe in the parents' right to choose how to educate their children, whether public, private or home school. I support providing additional educational options for parents and students, such as Charter Schools, which will also strengthen our public schools through competition.Timothy WescoSecond AmendmentAs a member of the NRA, I will be more than just a defender of our right to keep and bear arms, I will be a champion. Thousands of Hoosiers are taking personal responsibility to protect themselves, their families, and their fellow citizens and I believe this is the key to maintaining a safe community.Timothy Wescohttps://www.youtube.com/user/TimothyWesco

Jodi BuoscioJobsElkhart was founded on jobs in music, RVs, and medical; Jodi believes that the current jobs being brought to Indiana are the wrong types of jobs. She is advocating for more jobs in the medical industry. In order to complete this task she wants to push Indiana from average 3G cell service to 5G in order to compete with other states and countries in the medical field. Jodi BuoscioEducationJodi believes that students in Indiana are being over tested, and because of this she wants to limit the required testing for students. She also wants to stop the forgiving of loans for charter schools because it is taking money away from the public school funds. Jodi BuoscioLiving Wage BenefitsJodi believes that if someone is working 40 hours a week they should be able to afford the basic necessities to live (food, shelter, clothing). Though she doesnt support a raise of the minimum wage, she believes that businesses should receive a tax break for paying their workers a livable wage ($10/hour or more). This will help individuals be able to support their families by working a full time job. Jodi BuoscioProperty Tax CeilingJodi believes that when the Republicans passed a property tax ceiling on higher income homes/families they forced organizations that are funded by property taxes to campaign for more money. Jodi doesnt believe it is right that schools are being forced to lobby for higher property taxes in their district just to pay for every day necessities, like transportation. Jodi wants to eliminate this tax ceiling so that the well off are forced to pay the same percentages that the middle class has to pay on their properties.
