VIRTUS Training Thank you for volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul Parish and School. A Volunteer is anyone who works with children, without any express or implied promise of remuneration, more than (4) hours a month or who works with children more frequently than once a month.

Our own Deacon Bob is a certified facilitator for the required VIRTUS session. He will be presenting a training after school on Wednesday, September 26th from 3:15 pm until 6:00 pm in the Scullen Room. To register for this session, please visit:

• https://www.virtusonline.org/virtus/index.cfm• Select “First Time Registrant”• Choose the session on September 26th at St. Vincent – Akron (be sure you choose the Akron

location as there are multiple St. Vincent parishes in the Diocese)

If you are unable to attend this session, please sign up for another location (full list is available at the web address above). All sessions are free of charge.

In addition to the VIRTUS session, all volunteers must have a background check (BCI) on file with the rectory office.
