1.0 SCOPE

The scope and purpose of this document is to describe the execution

methodology of Tie in work to be carried out during to the existing oily water

line.

3.0 SAFETY

3.1 Obtained work permit for all associated works in restricted area at the

plant operations

3.2 All personnel shall wear personal protective equipment and working fire

retardant coverall clothing used as necessary

3.3 Provide dry chemical fire extinguisher, pressurized fire hose and fire watch

near the tie-in location

3.4 Conduct tool box meeting related to work activities. Safety officer shall

conduct the tool box meeting.

3.5 All equipment shall be inspected and ensure it is good working condition.

3.6 All equipment operators must have their valid license/certification

4.0 WORK SEQUENCE

4.1 Prefabricate and complete the Tie In spool in accordance with

MS-P-017 REV.03 01-SAMSS- 034 stated in section 7.0 Materials and Fabrication.

4.2 Provide safe work access platform at Tie in location if necessary

4.3 Mark correctly and legibly the cutting location on existing piping

4.4 Provide adequate habitat for safe work inside the plant.

4.5 Coordinate to Aramco where to isolate the System of Existing Oily Water line pipe.

4.6 Carry out checking the existing pipe at cut, the desired length at its location.

4.7 AOC to carry out necessary Gas Test and Issue Gas Test certificate

4.8 Issue hot/cold work Permit

4.9 Carry out frequent gas test in the work vicinity

4.10 Cut the Tie In location as marked and remove pipe spool

4.11 Clean open end of piping and arrange combined internal inspection

4.12 Fit-up and Laminate New Tie In Spool in accordance with

01-SAMSS-034 stated in section 7.0 Materials and Fabrication.

4.13 Provide permanent support as per design or temporary support as

required.

4.14 Insulating Gasket/kits (PIKOTEK) shall be for flanged joints of dissimilar

metals. PIKOTEK insulating gaskets shall not be used above 200C line

design condition.

4.15 By using the PIKOTEK gaskets, the pressure rating of the flanged joints

may be increased subject to review and approval by the Chairman of

Piping Standards Committee in consulting Services Department

4.16 The PIKOTEK gaskets are with Teflon sealed, glass reinforced epoxy

laminated to 316 stainless steel core. For low pressure services, the

stainless steel laminate is not required.

4.17 Gravity sewers shall be tested from manhole to manhole, or manhole to

sump inlet. The upstream manhole may be tested at the same time.

The first test will be for spool (2) and will be as Gravity Test

The second test will be carry out the service test on the tie-in joints

during start up and then proceed with the final backfill.
