QUECHUA VISIT

“Most of the students were just enthusiastic about visiting the innovation platform/R&D department at QUECHUA to see how it works! Since many of us had very little practical knowledge or insights into the structures of this innovative companies. Thus this visit allowed us to fully understand the dynamics of a highly innovative company. It was a very exciting, motivating and interesting visit for us. We hope that the future batches of this master will have the same valuable opportunity”.

called Energy Harvesting. My experience there was extremely enriching and the topic was very engaging. I actually decided to base my dissertation on that topic (A Delphi survey to identify future fields of standardization on the Energy Harvesting technology). After my internship and some holidays I am back in my city (Medellin - Colombia) where I am setting my own business. It's a start-up on tourism based on an innovative business model for Walking Tours I learned in my days in Europe. So far, it has been three weeks since the business is running and there have been already more than 40 people from 14 nationalities. As the business is still in a super-early stage there are many concepts to apply and improvements to implement, although there are great perspectives on the horizon for it. If you come to Colombia, don't hesitate to let me know and I'll show you around.

internship as a White Space Analyst with SAP Paris. SAP is the world leader in enterprise software and software-related services. Having further developed my analytically skills and greatly strengthened my portfolio, I dedicated the months of February to May purely for finishing the dissertation. My next internship will be as a Competitive Analyst for Supersonic Imagine, a company based in the South of France that manufactures and sells supersonic machinery to hospitals and businesses worldwide. The internship is start in May and will spread till September. I'm greatly looking forward to it, as this would be the best time for a person to be in the South of France! Best of luck to the coming students and I wish you the very best.

system, an innovative product that could substitute the diesel generator for a cleaner and more reliable technology. This program was very enriching, both academically and humanly thanks to its intelligent content, its remarkable people and the Live Business Case, which was a great introduction to real business challenges. After having completed the program and while achieving two Masters Dissertations, I have worked for Areva on a strategy consulting and business development mission at its subsidiary Hélion, specialized in Hydrogen-based Energy. The company had developed a fuel cell backup power system, an innovative product that could substitute the diesel generator for a cleaner and more reliable technology. I was working directly with the Head of Business Development and I was in charge of the market diagnosis and the launch strategy planning for one of the main markets targeted by the company. My mission covered every stage from the market analysis, including an inquiry on the field, to the elaboration of the commercialization strategy (early segments to target, value proposition, value chain partnerships…). Before the end of my contract, I was allocated the responsibility to initiate the meetings with potential partners and prospects.

I find this mission very fulfilling as it enabled me to apply the learning I have acquired during my studies, test my capabilities and assume high responsibilities while gaining an extensive knowledge about the industry I have analyzed. It confirmed my attachment to strategy consulting and business development that had been first revealed to me during the Live Business Case of the MSc ISE program. I am currently moving to Brazil for setting up my one Business .

Amit Vadi (Canada): APPLE Londres

After completing my Bachelor’s degree in International Business at GGSB, I decided to pursue my Master’s degree in Innovation, Strategy and Entrepreneurship. The program helped me foster and assimilate my knowledge in a large variety of topics and completing the Live Business Case with Schneider Electric was an extremely valuable experience. After completing the first year of the program, I obtained a 6-month Internship with Hewlett-Packard as a Junior Product Manager at their EMEA headquarters in Grenoble, France. I am now moving onto a second

6-month Internship in Product Marketing with Apple at their EMEIA headquarters in London, England. Also as part of the second year of the program, I am currently completing my dissertation on The Development in Cloud Computing looking at the evolution of Cloud computing technologies and their future potential disruptive capabilities to firms globally.

I moved to London 3 weeks ago, and have started working with Apple, which has been quite an experience so far. I'm working as Cross-functional Intern in Product Marketing across all their major business units, so I'm getting a lot of exposure. It's a completely different working environment from HP but it's been great so far and seems that it will be an extremely challenging internship, which I'm definitely pleased about.

Marie Lebogne (France):

the management of innovation as well as to evolve in an international environment.

Few years ago I had the chance to discover the impact social innovation could have on a large multinational and on its value chain. As a community manager for Danone social innovation platform, I was working alongside with impressive managers who were trying to reach the bottom of the pyramid and to alleviate poverty at the same time. I have experienced the whole concept of innovation from community management to R&D, from marketing and HR to business and financial plans …

Thus I wanted to deeply understand how to manage this kind of projects and I went to follow the Msc ISE. I spent the first semester in Beijing where I learnt a lot about the Chinese culture, education and innovation strategies. The master not only enables me to easily get how to manage innovation, I also developed the skills to work in a highly international context.

In the meantime, I was as well volunteering for MakeSense, a social innovation open project. Alongside with

600 young Changemakers, I am helping social entrepreneurs to raise their challenges thanks to creativity tools. In that way I animated more than 20 creativity and problem solving workshops. I have also been training new members to use creativity methodologies. Both in the Msc ISE and Makesense I have been experimenting new methodologies and discovering animation tips. Thanks to the live business case I learned how to adapt these methodologies to a professional environment. Then I joined voyages-sncf.com as an innovation project manager. Since I had the skills to run the creative process and manage innovation projects I had been managing on my own a digital innovation project from scratch. As an intern I was highly challenged as I had as immediate superior the Innovation Director of the company. She was expected a high quality work and did not have time to train myself. So I have to confess I often went back in my Msc courses: design thinking, strategy, marketing and even the tips to pitch a project were really useful. So keep carefully your notes, maybe you will be as well glad to find it afterwards

ZHENG Huiwen: Biomerieux China I would like to use my path to express my appreciation to this program.

Speaking about my current path, I do have difficulties finding my internship: I didn’t have an engineer background like other students, since I had established 3 year career in the field of marketing communication, it was very difficult to shift my path as company only considered my background in marketing communication. Apart from that, I was over experienced for an internship but I am not speaking fluent French for full-time position.

I did receive unexpected help sometimes. Thanks to the study in ISE and the live business case, it had provided me an experience to tap into another domain. In the end I had an internship helping a French on the short term project of reverse innovation in emerging countries(Priority with China, India, Brazil), it is a great reflection of what we studied and

benefited from the program and it fully demonstrates how our program design (especially live business case) had help shifted my career path from marketing communication to innovation & strategy.

I am very happy and excited of what I am doing and really appreciate to have studied in Innovation Strategy and Entrepreneurship. More importantly, be appreciated. Maybe one day Marie-France or someone you used to work with in this program or from the live business case, would offer an opportunity or an useful recommendation that leads you to the bright future. You never know =) Finger cross to you, to us, and to the success of our program!
