What is the RHA?RHA is a student-run organizationdedicated to promoting involvement andleadership among the campuscommunity. The rst informationalmeeting will take place on March 21 inthe lobby of Collette Hall. You wontwant to miss out.
Will I have a voice in the Halls? The best thing about the Residence Hall

programs for their halls.

toward a more balanced and fullling life.
Processmeans that we never arrive at a
point where there is no possibility of
improvement.Awaremeans that we are by our nature
continuously seeking more information
about how we can improve.Choicesmean that we have considered a
variety of options and have selected those
that seem to be in our best interest. The Feature Dimension of themonth is...Social Wellness
Social wellness is having positiveinteractions with and enjoying being withothers. It is having comfort and easeduring work and leisure situations andcommunicating feelings and needs toothers. It involves developing and buildingclose friendships and intimacy, practicingempathy and eective listening, caring forothers and for the common good, andallowing others to care for you. Housing Tip of the Month Safety FIRST!!!Dear Residents,
Greetings from the McNeese State University Department of Housing and Residence Life. We know many of you are havinga positive experience while living on campus in your new home.
McNeese State University is a safety-conscious campus and keeping all community members safe has long been a highpriority. However, despite our best efforts, crime and acts of misconduct still does occur. YOUR first line of defense is acombination of awareness and prevention. This means that YOU can take specific action to prevent, or greatly reduce, thelikelihood that YOU or another resident will be a victim of a crime.
Relying on your own instincts is an important rule for your personal safety and that of your fellow residents. Remember, yourpersonal safety is our primary concern, but we need your help too.
1. Never allow tailgaters. Tailgaters gain access to your residence hall by waiting for you to open a door by using your keycard and then following you inside. You wouldnt let someone follow you into your parents home and its not okay to do it inyour residence hall.2. Never allow anyone else to use your key card. 3. Never allow your guests to be on the premises unattended. You MUST remain with your guest(s) at all times (thatincludes in your room, suite, club house, laundry, hallways, etc.) 4. At night, call university police for an escort.5. Report any suspicious activity immediately.
To report any crimes, incidents, or suspicious persons/activity, please contact University Police at (337) 475-5711 orUniversity Housing Services at (337) 475-5606. We are here to help.
Again, we are happy to have you and please accept our best wishes for an enjoyable and SAFE semester here in theresidential community at McNeese.
Sincerely,
Brian K. Roberson, M.Ed, Director of Residence Life

reparing Ahead for Midterms and Finals
leep and nutrition are important factors in keeping your mind and body alert. Avoid things like junk food,

oull need it!
xercise your hand! It may sound crazy now, but if your hand starts to cramp up during your first exam fro
xtended writing, you could be in real trouble for your second exam. Practice writing in a note pad in the weefore your midterms or finals.
etween the Tests
Ask your teacher if you can leave the classroom as soon as you finish the first test. This will give you moreme to prepare for the next exam. After you finish the first test, try to find a quiet place where you can be alone and clear your head for awhilou cant find a place where you can be completely alone, make an effort to tune out other students. They e talking about tests, and your goal is to block out any stressful thoughts.
