”The A.T. Museum intends to assume operations of Ironmaster’s Mansion this January ! Your vital

you a “NO EXPIRE” membership and lists you at the “TRAIL ANGEL ($250)” plaque listing level.
“The Appalachian Trail Museum Board recommends that a minimum

Take a 2-hour guided kayak tour of Laurel Lake. Space is limited to 15 participants. Participants must be 12 or older and be able to swim to

Event parking will be in the Fuller Area. Saturday night's event is the
Hairy Hand Pumpkin Float Program at Fuller Beach at 7 p.m. *Volunteers are needed to help with the festival. If you are planning to
attend the festival, why not sign up to help for a couple hours while you
are here. Volunteers are needed to set-up, clean-up, help with Friend’s
Group activity stations, and be Smokey Bear. Even if you cannot attend the festival, please consider donating adult or children’s long-sleeved
shirts and long pants for the scarecrow making activity.

5 PM Meet at the Campground Amphitheater Dress in costume for
the Creepy Critters Bingo. Individuals will be judged for the best costume.
After Bingo, kids 18 and younger will be able to Trick-or-Treat in the campground. During Trick-or-Treat, campsites will be judged for the
best-decorated site and awards will be given out.

Trail Treks with a Park Ranger:
Cemetery Hike (2.5-mile moderate hike) Hike to the site of the Pine Grove Cemetery along this easy three-mile
hike on stone roads and lowland trails. Bring sturdy shoes, water and
dress for the weather. Meet at the Furnace Stack.

Orienteering and GPS basics
Orienteering is a fun way to use valuable skills of map reading and compass use. Using a GPS to geo-cache is a fun and easy family activity.
Maps, Compasses, and GPS will be available for use during the program.

F. Y. I. ~ here is an update on the film “Trail Magic, the Grandma Gatewood Story”:
Here is a letter from Bette Lou Higgins which I want to pass along to you:
I am so excited to announce that our film “Trail Magic, the Grandma Gatewood Story” was
named the "Best Local Documentary" on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the Chagrin Falls Film
Festival. We thank everyone on the Festival Staff and the Awards panel and especially our
sponsors, The Buckeye Trail Association and Watterson and Associates. The screening was
viewed by about 160 people who stayed for a Q & A afterward. The awards ceremony for all of the
festival participants took place that evening.
