CURRENT TREND :

• Approximately 2,00,000 students for B.Com. (FY / SY / TY) @ MU in a year

• T.Y. B.Com. alone @ MU around 70,000 annually (72% Regular, 28% Correspondence)

• 25% of the T.Y.B.Com. M.U. students attempt MBA entrance each year (18,000)

• FY / SY / TY addressable market strength is only 20,000 students as on today

• 30% of TY – MU students are working / directly doing some form of Vocational Education, but wanting some source of basic graduation which is still untapped (21,000) as most of these face lack of time & motivation for joining B.Com. classes

• Approximately 30% of students pursuing CA are drop-outs post IPCC (5,500) & need TY coaching with CAT / CET for MBA

• Around 65% of students studying in SYJC at major commerce coaching classes of Mumbai are non CA / CWA / CS category

• Major (Almost 80%) Commerce Coaching Institutes also promoting CA / CS / CWA / Other Professional courses for the classes / brilliant students and very few of them are focusing on the masses / average students post SYJC

INFERENCES :

• Stagnancy of FY / SY / TY students joining coaching classes across Mumbai in the last three years

• Students preferring Professional / Vocational Job-oriented courses / Jobs along with basic graduation

• Most MBA Entrance classes also offering Vanilla CAT/CET

• Major Commerce Coaching Classes focusing mainly on CA

• B.Com. centric classes also offering Vanilla B.Com

• No special emphasis on Overall Personality Grooming as a part of Regular Curriculum
