7/28/2019 Mtc, Bma, Bphwt & Kdhw Job Announcement http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/mtc-bma-bphwt-kdhw-job-announcement 1/4 Organizations: Mae Tao Clinic, Burmese Medical Association, Back Pack Health Worker Team and Karen Department of Health and Welfare Location: Mae Sot Travel Requirements: CBO Health clinics and Training centers inside Myanmar and Thailand  Project: Burma Medical Association (Project for Local Empowerment) RESPONSIBILITIES  The Medical Trainers will be responsible for the implementation of medical training programs, supporting curriculum development and providing theoretical and practical clinical training for all levels of health workers, technical support and monitoring of health CBOs program working in eastern Burma, as well as Mae Tao Clinic.   In collaboration with medical training team, review the curriculum and prepare the training schedules for each training.   In collaboration with Mae Tao clinic staff or Health CBOs’ staff, organize practical trainings.   Prepare all the necessary documents needed for the training (handouts and training material) in a timely manner.   Implement the theoretical training and conduct most of the training sessions on sites where Health CBO staffs are able to attend.  Evaluate the theoretical and practical sessions for each training.   Identify areas for improvement and assist the Medical Training team to update training curriculum and harmonize the medical training team.  Assist in proposal and quarterly report writing of Health CBOs as necessary.   Undertake medical log book and record reviews for Burma Medical Association (BMA), Karen Department of Health and Welfare (KDHW), Back Pack Health Worker Team (BPHWT), and Mae Tao Clinic   Analyze the log book review results and feedback the results to the health CBOs Plan for trainings as needed.   Promote partner relationships based on principles of mutual trust and respect, mutual accountability, reciprocity, inclusion and transparency.  Undertake any other relevant tasks assigned by the health CBOs POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education • Medical degree (MD or MBBS)- this is essential • Master Degree in a relevant discipline would be advantage Work Experience and/or Demonstrated Abilities • At least 1 year of experience as a medical trainer • Experience in teaching Medics and Health workers who are working in resource poor setting would be highly advantageous. Skills • Training, Supervision, and Facilitation skills Languages • Fluency in Burmese and English required; other local languages such as Karen is preferred  Other • Understanding the situation along the Thai-Burma border  How to apply: Please submit a cover letter with your most recent CV (fill in attached CV format) in English stating qualifications and experience.
