MTS-1720 Two Channel Current Source
Basic Facts

The MTS-1720 provides 2 current output channels in order toproduce full 3-phase current or to provide higher current/VAoutput when used with the MTS-1710. Control of the outputamplitude, phase, frequency and all other functions are providedthrough the front panel or RS-232C interface. The user operationalconcepts are the same as the MTS-1710, thereby allowing youto become familiar with its use in a matter of minutes.

Test Relays Under RealisticPower System Conditions
TEST UNDER REALISTIC POWER SYSTEM CONDITIONS
You can now subject devices to realistic powersystem conditions, including DC offsets, transients,and harmonics. The MTS-1700 system can play backrecorded fault waveforms from digital fault recordersand protection relays, as well as IEEE COMTRADE filesand waveform files from computer-generated EMTP(or other) simulations. Since the MTS-1700 systemis field portable, protection systems can be testedon-site, under actual field conditions of temperature,EMI, noise, etc and interacting with other equipment.
Real-world fault records or waveforms fromcomputer simulations can be played back toprotective relays using �Fault Builder� software.
