DIRECTED PUTAWAY DASHBOARD

Navigation: Inventory Management > Main > Directed Putaway Dashboard. The Dashboard provides a single screen to automatically and manually select inventory to transfer. On screen options gives options to filter selections to check quantity available to select and check the capacity of the destination of locations. Print picking sheets and putaway sheets and transfer inventory.

DIRECTED PUTAWAY - COMPANY WIDE & BATCH OPTIONS

Directed Putaway options for the company and batch are set with the Options button in Directed Putaway entry. When there is no Directed Putaway batch number the COM Options button on the Directed Putaway Dashboard will open the Company Wide Settings for Directed Putaway (see example below). This is pulling from the setup done in Multi-Bin Company Wide Options – Directed Put Tab.

Batch - Putaway Options Once a Putaway batch number is entered the Options button on the Putaway Dashboard changes from Company Wide Settings for Directed Putaway to Putaway settings which can be updated for this batch specifically (see example below). Click Select to refresh calculations based on option changes.

OVERVIEW OF THE DIRECTED PUTAWAY PROCESS

1. Open the Directed Putaway Dashboard. Inventory Management > Main > Directed Putaway Dashboard.

2. Select Next Batch Number in the Put Batch No. Field to start a new batch. 3. Optional: Enter a Batch description. 4. Select Putaway Type. 5. Select the source warehouse and the destination warehouse. 6. Add selection criteria in the selection grid. 7. Press Select to populate Putaway results. 8. Edit or Delete entries in grid using the delete and/or edit buttons. 9. Print Pick and Put Sheets. 10. Select Transfer Mode: Select Quick to complete an immediate transfer for all items in

the batch, a Transaction Entry to create a transaction entry transfer all items in the batch or No transfer. NOTE: A transaction entry transfer is required when transferring between different warehouses. If using Scanco Warehouse handhelds select No transfer.

Put Batch No. – Lookup existing Putaway batch number or get next batch number. Putaway Type –

• From P/O Received Staged – Selects items in the receiving staging location and locations in the receiving staging region. The destination locations are determined from the putaway options and directed pick algorithms. Staging locations are designated in warehouse code maintenance.

• From B/M Production Staged – Selects items in the Bill of Materials FG’s staging location and locations in the stage region. The destination locations are determined from the putaway options and directed pick algorithms. Staging locations are designated in warehouse code maintenance.

• From W/O Completions Staged – Selects items in the Work Order FG’s staging location and locations in the stage region. The destination locations are determined from the

putaway options and directed pick algorithms. Staging locations are designated in warehouse code maintenance.

• From Selected – Uses the bin location or bin locations (if entering a range) entered in the selection grid to populate results for inventory ready for put away from the selected bin location or locations.

From Warehouse Code/ To Warehouse Code – To Putaway in the same warehouse code select the same warehouse code for both or different warehouse codes can be selected to Transfer between two warehouse codes. Batch Description – Optional Field. Enter a Batch Description to assist with identifying batch in batch lookup screens. If using Scanco Warehouse Handhelds the batch description will also display in the Directed Putaway Lookup Window. Lock Locations in Other Batches - These options determine how to manage putaway to locations when multiple Putaway batches are open simultaneously.

• Don’t Lock Destination Locations – If the destination locations are not locked, an empty bin could be advised in multiple batches, exceeding its actual capacity.

• Lock Destination Locations – Locking destination locations will prevent bin locations from being advised for putaway in more than one batch. This prevents the system from exceeding capacity when multiple batches are open simultaneously.

Filter Code – Enter a Filter Code to save the selection filters used. Allows users to save settings for frequently run batches. The system will save all batch options and grid selections. Lookup Filters – Lookup Existing Grid Filters. Save Grid Filters and Options – To save a new Filter enter a filter code, click Save Grid Filters Button, when prompted to create a new filter code click “YES,” Click Save Grid Filters Button again to finish Saving. Filter Maintenance – Lookup Saved Filters or create new filters in Filter Maintenance. Audit Calculations – Click to enable Putaway Audit Logging. Log is saved as a text file at MAS90 > _ScancoLogs > Select the Company Code > Putaway. The File name will be saved under the Putaway Batch number. The audit button must be checked prior to pressing select to calculate Putaway results. Transfer Mode Options:

• Quick transfer – After selecting inventory the quick transfer button is enabled. Quick transfer provides the immediate transfer of inventory and transfer of allocations to another location. Transfer individual inventory. Small grid display S/O entry and W/O allocations. Select to transfer allocations along with the QOH transfer. Audit trail is tracked for the user transferring inventory.

NOTE: Role maintenance, Inventory Security Events — select to grant rights for access to Quick Transfer in Item Maintenance, Item Inquiry and Bin Location Maintenance.

• I/M Transaction Entry – creates an Inventory Transaction Entry transfer which must be posted.

• None – No system transfers. Allows users to print the pick/put sheets and scan the transfers.

Transfer button – transfers inventory according to the transfer mode selected. Once items have been transferred the items display in the results grid with a Transferred Status in the item description column (see example below).

DIRECTED PUTAWAY - SELECTION FIELDS GRID

Select criteria for items and locations to pick from for Putaway.

• Warehouse Code – Defaults to a single warehouse code.

• Region Code

• Aisle

• Location Pick Priority Code

• Location Type

• Last Received Date

• Pallet ID PUTAWAY RESULTS GRID

Item – Displays item number to Putaway. Whse – Displays the current warehouse code the item is located in. Description – Displays the item description. If item is on hold a hold message will also display in the description column. If an item has been transferred using the transfer option in the Putaway Dashboard a transferred message will also display in the item description field. From Pal – If the item is currently on a pallet ID the PAL ID type will display in this column. The pallet ID number does not show in the dashboard however it does print on the Putaway Sheets. From Bin – Current bin location of the item to pick for Putaway. Type Region Aisle – Items Current bin location type (V- overflow, P – pick, O- other, S – Staged, F – Floor), region code, aisle.

From QOH – The total number of items in the ‘from’ bin location that are physically located in the location at the current time. This includes items that are already allocated to fulfilling production needs or sales orders. From Alloc – Total quantity allocated of the item in its current bin location. To Whse – Warehouse Code that items will be Putaway or Transferred to. To Bin – Bin Location code that items will be Putaway or transferred to. Transfer Qty – Total quantity of the item that will be transferred from one location to the new location. To Type Region Aisle– Displays the bin location type (V- overflow, P – pick, O- other, S – Staged, F – Floor), region code, aisle for the location that items will be transferred to. To Qty Avail – Total Quantity available currently in the bin location that items are being Putaway to. To Vol Avail – Total Volume available currently in the bin location that items are being Putaway to. To Pal Count Avail – Total Pallet Counts available at bin location that items or pallets are being put away to. Stats – Provides a "shorthand" version of the audit, giving general information about the putaway suggestions being made. Generally, this is used as a support tool. Spec Handling PUTAWAY GRID TOTALS

No of Entries – Number of transfers. Total Transfer – Total quantity of items to Putaway. GRID SELECTION BUTTONS

Multi-Select Buttons – Click multiple selections using Control-click and Shift-click or click the green Select All button to select all inventory; red to clear selections.

Remove from Results Button – Removes selection from Replenishment Dashboard selection results.

Multi-Bin for Item Options Button – Opens Multi-Bin for Item Options Window.

Item Maintenance Button – Opens item maintenance for the selected item.

Multi-Bin Location Maintenance Button – Opens Multi-Bin Location Maintenance Window.

Multi-Bin UDF Detail – Opens the Replenishment Data Entry Screen.

Hold Button – Places a hold on the inventory selected.

Release Hold Button – Releases the Hold from the inventory selected.

Print buttons:

Pick Sheets Button– prints pick sheets sorted by the from location. Put Sheets Button – pick sheets are printed by the destination.

DELETING OR PURGING PUTAWAY BATCHES

There are two settings to automatically remove batches. For Directed Putaway – Batches are removed after the number days set on the Directed Putaway Options tab in Multi-Bin Company Wide Setup (Days to Retain Replenish and Putaway Batches) and if the system knows something was transferred. Currently – the only way to do that is do a transfer in the Directed Putaway screen. If you do Directed Putaway or transfers on a handheld using Scanco Warehouse you will have to manually delete those batches in the Directed Putaway Dashboard later. For auto created replenishments during picking sheet printing and the option to automatically delete those lists is in Company Wide Pick Sheet Options (Days to Retain Daily Replenishment Batches). The system will auto remove these based on the number days set. Replenishments created in the Replenishment Dashboard (not auto created) it functions the same as Directed Putaway. It will auto remove if a transfer has been done in the Dashboard and its past the number of days. It is recommended that you do not set 0 for number of days – value should always be 1 or greater.
