Me, Myself & I This is a tutorial for an Iphone interface design that I completed. This was a tutorial I used to sharpen my skills in Photoshop. I

completed the tutorial and made a copy of it. I added in my own design to it. I used an image from a project called me myself & I that I made in 1st year. I changed the colours and readjusted the button so it would work with my background.

Drink Aware ProjectThis is a game I created to help show young adults how to balance their drinking on a night out.

I created this game for the Dare2BDrink Aware competition. All the graphics were made in Photoshop and Illustrator. I used flash builder to code the game. The game was made to show young adults that it is ok to go out and have a few drinks. The player stands at the bar and collects the falling drinks but if the player drinks too much they will get sick and it’s game over. In order for the player to get a highscore they must balance their drinking habits within the game by drinking water intermittently to bring down their sick bar.

Wall AssignmentThe aim of this assignment was to build a concrete wall with a glass window and a table.

To complete this assignment I used 3D max. To begin, I made a rough sketch of what the scene would look like so I would have a plan of what had to be done. I created my block and added a block texture to it. I then duplicated it numerous times and built my wall. I went into a lot of detail with the window because I did not want a basic frame for it. I made it so in the images it is open. I created my table and added a wooden texture to it. To give the assignment a good finish I added trees, picture frames, a teapot and a background image that is visible when looking out the window.

SHOW CASE

Part of my 3rd year main project was to design what I thought the web site we were developing would look like. The website is called multimedia showcase. It allowed users to create a profile and upload their work so they can promote it. I decided to choose a box style layout for the web site and have shades of brown though it so the users work would stand out against it.

This is a home page and a reminder page I designed for this project. The app is called “Life In Time”. The app helps students organise their workload and helps them to stick to a schedule. The group picked out the colours scheme and we all had to use the same ones in our designs. On my home page I wanted to make the logo really big so it would stand out to the user. I made my buttons flat buttons because I like this style.

I am a 3rd year Multimedia Programming & Design student studying in Limerick Insititude of Technology. Throughout my college career I have gained many skills including working successfully in a team. All my life I have enjoyed building, creating and solving problems. These are traits that I think are really important for Multimedia. I would say I’m an active person. I love going on adventures whether it’s cycling around the Aran island or climbing to the top of mountains.
